The virtual reality system may make use of outside-in tracking, in which a tracking camera is placed external to the headset device and within the line of sight of the headset device. In outside-in tracking, the tracking camera may track the location of the headset(e. g., by tracking one or more infrared LED [light-emitting diode] markers on the headset device). Alternatively or additionally, the virtual reality system may make use of inside-out tracking, in which a tracking camera may be placed on or within the headset device itself. In inside-out tracking, the tracking camera may capture images around it in the real world and may use the changing perspectives of the real world to determine its own position in space.

Air taxiway markers shall be located along the centre line of the air taxiway and shall be spaced at intervals of not more than 30 m on straight sections and 15 m on curves. An air taxiway marker shall be frangible and when installed shall not exceed 35 cm above ground or snow level. The surface of the marker as viewed by the pilot shall be a rectangle with a height to width ratio of approximately 3 to 1 and shall have a minimum area of 150 cm2. An air taxiway marker shall be divided into three equal, horizontal bands coloured yellow, green and yellow, respectively. If the air taxiway is to be used at night, the markers shall be internally illuminated or retro-reflective.

Les balises de voie de circulation en vol rasant présenteront trois bandes horizontales d'égale largeur et de couleurs alternées, jaune, vert et jaune. Si la voie de circulation doit être utilisée de nuit, les balises seront éclairées de l'intérieur ou rétroréfléchissantes.

Two tapes made of 5 cm(2") wide white material, 1 m(3’3") long shall be fastened near each end of the net, vertical to the side lines and the centre line. Coinciding with the outside edge of the tapes, two flexible antennas shall be fastened to the net at a distance of 9 m(29’6") from each other. These two antennas shall be 1. 80 m(6’) long with a diameter of approximately 10 mm(3/8") and be made of fibreglass or similar material and shall extend 80 cm(32") above the top of the net. The antennas shall be of contrasted colours [red and white in general] alternating in 10 cm(4") long sections. The side markers and the antennas are considered as part of the net.
