Over time, the salt is covered with sediment and becomes buried. Since the density of salt is generally less than that of surrounding material, it has a tendency to move upward toward the surface, forming large bulbous domes, diapirs, sheets, pillars and other structures as it rises. If the rising salt diapir breaches the surface, it can become a flowing salt glacier. 3, record 1, English, - salt%20diapir

Exploration activities performed on the Moon by both humans and robotic spacecraft occur on a planetary surface that is comprised of unconsolidated fragmental rock material known as the lunar regolith. The lunar surface is covered by several layers of thick regolith formed by high-velocity micrometeoroid impacts, and is characterized by the steady bombardment of charged atomic particles from the sun and the stars. The lunar regolith includes rock fragments and, predominantly, much smaller particles that are generally referred to as lunar soil. 1, record 2, English, - planetary%20surface

Existing roads merely need to be covered with the solar panels–which are in fact slabs–without the need for any additional engineering work. 8, record 10, French, - papier%20abrasif

Duct lining or wrapping - A duct lining or wrapping is usually a sheet of porous material placed on the inner or outer wall(s) of a duct to introduce sound attenuation and heat insulation. Aircraft fabric covering is a term used for both the material used and the process of covering aircraft open structures. It is also used for reinforcing closed plywood structures, the de Havilland Mosquito being an example of this technique. Early aircraft used organic materials such as cotton and cellulose dope, modern fabric covered designs usually use synthetic materials such as Nylon and butyrate dope for adhesive, this method is often used in the restoration of older types that were originally covered using traditional methods. 4, record 22, English, - covering

The term "Refractance Window" relates to the dryer's principle of operation. Water transmits infrared energy through conduction and evaporation but little radiation. If the water's surface is covered by a transparent medium such as plastic, evaporation and its associated heat loss is blocked and only conduction occurs. But when a moisture-laden material is placed on the plastic surface, a "window" for passage of infrared energy is created at the point where the material contacts the plastic where the plastic bears on the water. Therefore, all three methods of heat transfer, radiation, conduction and convection occur for exceptionally effective heat transfer. As the material dries, however, the infrared "window" is closed since moisture no longer contacts the plastic, and the only heat transfer taking place is by conduction. 1, record 41, English, - refractance%20window%20drying

A courselet is a short, 10 to 15 minute, online training module that employees can take at their desk. It provides employees with just-in-time training without dedicating a large chunk of time to training. Since an employee can take a courselet from their desk in a short period of time, companies increase their flexibility to change business processes. 3, record 48, English, - courselet

The University of British Columbia Real Property Assessment Certificate Program was developed in cooperation with the International Association of Assessing Officers. It is unique in its approach to real property valuation and state-of-the-art in its material. The first year encompasses a broad spectrum of basic valuation concepts, basic economics of supply and demand as it relates to real property, an introduction to statistics and mortgage financing techniques. The second year is unique in that it presents a hands-on approach to computer assisted mass appraisal(CAMA). Topics directly related to the real property taxation system, administration, data collection and quality assurance are also covered. 1, record 53, English, - Real%20Property%20Assessment%20Certificate%20Program

A method of stoping in which the ore is extracted by excavating a series of horizontal(sometimes inclined) timbered slices alongside each other, beginning at the top of the ore body and working progressively downward; the slices are caved by blasting out the timbers, bringing the capping or overburden down upon the bottom of the slices which have been previously covered with a floor or mat of timber to separate the caved material from the solid ore beneath.... Weather protection fabrics are usually coated or laminated on just one side(either inside or outside) with a microporous coating or membrane. The coating blocks water from penetrating through its microscopic pores, but allows easy passage of sweat vapors. It's an effective system. But Entrant SC goes it one(layer) better. This garment's new Entrant SC is coated on the inside with a microporous material and also covered on the outside by a revolutionary new, ultra-thin coating that shed water better than any known system. By keeping the honeycomb pores or the inner coating from cogging with water, the breathability of the total fabric system is improved dramatically. 1, record 81, English, - Entrant%20SC

1, record 81, French, - Entrant%20SC
