The Indian-meal moth has a wing-spread of about 2 centimetres. The forewings are creamy white next to the body, and have a reddish-brown colour with a coppery lustre on the outer two-thirds. The female moth lays about 200 eggs, either singly or in groups, on food material. The larvae are dirty white in colour, often with a greenish or pinkish tint. The newly hatched larvae are almost never seen because of their small size and the fact that they burrow as far as two metres into the grain mass. They normally remain in the grain until they have completed their larval growth. When fully grown they are about 1. 2 centimetres long. In summer their life cycle is about six weeks. 1, record 6, English, - indian%2Dmeal%20moth
Record number: 6, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The Indian-meal moth is cosmopolitan in distribution, feeding on stored grain as well as nuts, dried fruits and packaged cereals. The principal damage caused to wheat is to the germ: a single larva may destroy the germ of approximately 50 kernels in completing its development. Degermed kernels reduce the grade and produce flour inferior in baking quality. 1, record 6, English, - indian%2Dmeal%20moth

2, record 6, French, - pyrale%20indienne%20de%20la%20farine
Record number: 6, Textual support number: 1 OBS
2, record 6, French, - pyrale%20indienne%20de%20la%20farine

Runners can be classified into two types, namely the cold runner and the hot runner. The mold temperature for the cold runner is similar to the mold temperature for the cavity. The material in the cold runner will eventually solidify, and be ejected with each cycle. The hot runner maintains the polymer at a melt temperature, either by insulation or by heating. This keeps the material fluid. Hot runners are not ejected with each cycle. 5, record 15, English, - hot%20runner%20injection%20moulding

Paste backfill is defined as an engineered mixture of fine solid particles(with binder) and water, containing between 72% and 85% solids by weight. Particles in a paste mixture will not settle out of the mixture if allowed to remain stationary in a tank or in a pipeline. It can be placed in stopes with or without binder addition depending on the strength requirements for backfill. Improved pumping technology, environmental concerns and the need for a low cost/high strength fill in mines are driving mine operators to consider paste backfill as a tailings management and mine backfill alternative. The main advantages and disadvantages of a paste backfill system over a conventional hydraulic backfill plant are generally accepted as :... higher strengths can be achieved with an equivalent cement content; drainage of water and slimes from the fill are minimized, reducing the need for bulkhead construction and extensive drainage works. This feature also reduces maintenance on sumps and mine de-watering pumps; in some cases, unclassified tailings can be used to make paste rather than just the coarse fraction as is the case for hydraulic backfill; shorter stope cycle times can be achieved because an equivalent strength can be achieved in a shorter time with paste backfill; paste backfill systems achieve lower porosities than conventional fill thereby increasing the tonnage of material that can be disposed of underground; and, since paste backfill is deposited as a non-segregated mass of backfill(because cement particles are not displaced by the internal movements of the draining water), more predictable strength properties for the fill can be achieved. 2, record 24, English, - paste%20backfilling%20system

Paste backfilling of mines. A number of mines are installing paste fill systems to replace the current sand fill method. The justification and economies of this conversion include: higher production levels (less wait for dewatering), increased grade of ore to the mill, decrease of stope ore left as pillars, improved haulage with the removal of excess moisture, increased filling rates, and a higher strength fill with less waiting time. The unique problems associated with paste fill applications range from extremely rapid system wear to paste separation and system blockage. 3, record 24, English, - paste%20backfilling%20system

2, record 24, French, - syst%C3%A8me%20de%20remblayage%20par%20p%C3%A2te

When the valve is open, the melting or plasticizing cylinder pushes the material into the nozzle end of the pot, forcing the plunger back. When the plunger moves back an experimentally predetermined distance, the filling stops and the valve is closed, because the backward motion of the plunger actuates a limit switch. At the appropriate time in the cycle the material is injected into the mold from the second cylinder, the so-called shooting cylinder or pot. This method of operation gives much better mixing of the plastic, more even temperature distribution, and better control of speed, pressure, and the amount of material. This type machine is called a preplasticizing machine. 2, record 36, English, - preplasticizing%20press

spent liquor : Used cooking liquor in a chemical pulp mill which is separated from the pulp after the cooking process. It contains the lignins, resins, carbohydrates, and other extracted substances from the material being cooked. Usually, this liquor is processed through a recovery cycle to produce fresh cooking liquor and steam for process use and/or power generation. 2, record 37, English, - spent%2Dliquor%20evaporator
