1, record 14, French, - objet%20participatif

[T] hat which contains the particulars of a deed, etc., and is the instrument registered, in the case of a deed which must be registered. The registration of a deed or other document is effected by leaving it at the registry together with a memorial under the hand and seal of one of the parties to the deed. The memorial is an abstract of the material parts of the deed, with the parcels at full length, and concludes with a statement that the party desires the deed to be registered. The execution of the deed and memorial is proved by the oath of an attesting witness.(Jowitt, 2nd ed., 1977, p. 1171). 1, record 21, English, - memorial

To this point, the words ’enrollment’, ’registration’, and ’recording’ have been used interchangeably. The "Statute of Enrollments" required enrollment, and the "Middlesex Act" required registration. Both of these procedures are the same and are satisfied by a memorandum or memorial included in the public records stating the names of the grantor and of the grantee of the instrument, and the interest purportedly transferred. Recording requires that a complete copy of the instrument be included in the public records. (Mapp, 1978, p. 48). 1, record 21, English, - memorial

In 1871 an adaptation of the linoleum manufacture was patented which became quite successful : Corticine 17 also called cork carpet. Its material make-up was identical to linoleum, but the manufacture differed in that the cork was not so finely ground and the linseed oil not so highly oxidised. This resulted in a more porous and softer surface, which, like kamptulicon, had a sound-reducing quality. Linoleum, on the other hand, had a smoother surface than corticine, rendering it more "hygienic" a quality in growing demand in the latter half of the nineteenth century. 2, record 26, English, - corticine%20carpet

6, record 29, French, - fourrure%20artificielle

This layer is not self-supporting. Traditionally it is used to improve handling properties(M&M's melt in your mouth, not in your hand) or to prevent moisture loss... It can also be used as an adhesive to seasonings on snack foods..., as a glaze on baked goods... and to increase shelf life and reduce the need of packaging material. The shelf life is extended, because the film acts as a barrier to moisture and/or oil and/or vapor transmission. An edible coating has to have good eating properties : acceptable color, odor, taste, flavor and texture or be undetectable. An other requirement is that it must adhere to the food, but(in most cases) does not stick to packaging material. 3, record 30, English, - edible%20coating

A second effect may be the removal of primary slimes of no value. Clays, colloidal fines, and similar valueless material can easily be taken out at the earlier stages, but may be difficult to remove once fine crushing has liberated a substantial quantity of finely shattered mineral.... G. Cotter Enterprises, Inc. has made tremendous advancements toward a finely tuned microwelding process. Microwelding originated with the mold makers needs in mind. [Since it is an] ultra sensitive method of welding, this skill is now applied to medical parts, electronic components, sensitive finished machined surfaces, polished surfaces, and any surfaces that would not lend themselves to conventional welding. The science behind microwelding is due to the tighter control of the arc in close spaces. The less heat added to the part, the least amount of distortion will result. Minimal sink(sink marks on the material surface due to melting into the base metal) is maintained through this process. Ultimately, precision microwelds lead to less rework, which in turn assist in lower cost for machining. In fact, many microwelds can be finished by hand. 1, record 40, English, - microwelding

The sources of international law. There is innate in man a consciousness of right and wrong, regulating his behaviour towards his fellows, the recognition of the requirement to "co-exist" with them on a reasonable footing. Human society, on the other hand, cannot function without a certain number of binding rules of conduct which must be such as to enable it to avoid bellum omnium contra omnes. These factors are the underlying causes of the birth of law in any human community. The accent may be laid on one or other of these fundamental elements, but the two are always present. These are the "sources" of the law in their philosophical, psychological, sociological connotation, the "material" sources.... The concrete ways and means, the "formal" sources of the law, differ from community to community : they are not the same in secular as in ecclesiastical communities, nor in national as in international society. These "formal" sources,... necessarily reflect the nature and structure of the community concerned : they appear as custom, legislation, bye-laws, national case law, papal bulls, treaties, resolutions of international bodies, etc., as the case may be. There is still a third sense in which the expression "sources" is used in respect of law; in this sense the metaphor does not refer to the basic or to the "formal" origins of legal rules, but to the documents and writings in which they can be found, just as in another field historians work with their "sources". These are not, of course, genuine sources of the law. 2, record 42, English, - sources%20of%20international%20law

5, record 43, French, - effet%20chronique

Compost in this drawer is totally isolated from material in the Bio-drum. Although it is no longer subject to contamination from fresh waste, it should not be used on edible vegetable. While in the finishing drawer, the compost is surrounded by a stream of drying air, and absorbs the radiant heat from the evaporating chamber. It is here that composting and sanitation are completed, and the compost becomes safe to handle. The finishing drawer can be pulled out and removed by hand(no tools or screws are needed) and the sanitized compost emptied whenever it is necessary to extract more compost from the drum. 1, record 47, English, - compost%20finishing%20drawer
