The registration of a deed or other document is effected by leaving it at the registry together with a memorial under the hand and seal of one of the parties to the deed. The memorial is an abstract of the material parts of the deed, with the parcels at full length, and concludes with a statement that the party desires the deed to be registered. The execution of the deed and memorial is proved by the oath of an attesting witness.(Jowitt, 2nd ed., 1977, p. 1171).

This resulted in a more porous and softer surface, which, like kamptulicon, had a sound-reducing quality. It can also be used as an adhesive to seasonings on snack foods..., as a glaze on baked goods... and to increase shelf life and reduce the need of packaging material. The shelf life is extended, because the film acts as a barrier to moisture and/or oil and/or vapor transmission. The avoidant symptoms of posttraumatic stress, on the other hand, may serve to regulate or control the impact of intrusive cognitive-emotional memories by decreasing contact with posttraumatic triggers through dissociation of environmental stimuli and by reducing awareness of activated CERs [conditioned emotional responses]. This avoidance mechanism would be most important in instances when early childhood maltreatment had precluded the development of sufficient affect regulation capacities, such that "normal" reexperiencing of memory would exceed the survivor's ability to regulate painful material, producing extreme distress and, ironically, eliminating the disparity requirement by making the current environment painful and subjectively dangerous.

En fait, le mécanisme d'évitement est si fort chez le phobique qu'il est comme un réflexe et qu'il réussit à transformer la situation. Le problème intérieur est déplacé à l'extérieur de lui.

G. Cotter Enterprises, Inc. has made tremendous advancements toward a finely tuned microwelding process. Microwelding originated with the mold makers needs in mind. [Since it is an] ultra sensitive method of welding, this skill is now applied to medical parts, electronic components, sensitive finished machined surfaces, polished surfaces, and any surfaces that would not lend themselves to conventional welding. The science behind microwelding is due to the tighter control of the arc in close spaces. The less heat added to the part, the least amount of distortion will result. Minimal sink(sink marks on the material surface due to melting into the base metal) is maintained through this process. Ultimately, precision microwelds lead to less rework, which in turn assist in lower cost for machining. In fact, many microwelds can be finished by hand.

  • International Law
CONT

The sources of international law. There is innate in man a consciousness of right and wrong, regulating his behaviour towards his fellows, the recognition of the requirement to "co-exist" with them on a reasonable footing. Human society, on the other hand, cannot function without a certain number of binding rules of conduct which must be such as to enable it to avoid bellum omnium contra omnes. These factors are the underlying causes of the birth of law in any human community. The accent may be laid on one or other of these fundamental elements, but the two are always present. These are the "sources" of the law in their philosophical, psychological, sociological connotation, the "material" sources.... The concrete ways and means, the "formal" sources of the law, differ from community to community : they are not the same in secular as in ecclesiastical communities, nor in national as in international society. These "formal" sources,... necessarily reflect the nature and structure of the community concerned : they appear as custom, legislation, bye-laws, national case law, papal bulls, treaties, resolutions of international bodies, etc., as the case may be. There is still a third sense in which the expression "sources" is used in respect of law; in this sense the metaphor does not refer to the basic or to the "formal" origins of legal rules, but to the documents and writings in which they can be found, just as in another field historians work with their "sources". These are not, of course, genuine sources of the law.

An adverse effect to the health of a person or test animal that develops: 1. over time, following a single exposure to a toxic substance; or 2. from prolonged or repeated exposure to a toxic substance under conditions that do not produce that effect from a single exposure. [Source: A glossary that a free-lance translator, Mr. Etienne Shalom, has elaborated after having translated a text dealing with the transport of dangerous goods.]

CONT

Just as one distinguishes between acute and chronic exposure, so must one also distinguish between chronic effects. Acute effects can be defined as those that occur or develop rapidly after a single administration of a substance, while chronic effects are those that are manifest after the elapse of some time.... A single, "acute" exposure to a material(e. g., beryllium) produces a chronic effect, one that takes some time to become manifest. On the other hand, one can find substances that yield acute effects on each of a series of exposures but fail to produce chronic effects.

While in the finishing drawer, the compost is surrounded by a stream of drying air, and absorbs the radiant heat from the evaporating chamber.
