Acute lymphocytic leukemia(ALL) develops when the DNA of a stem cell in the bone marrow changes. The change is acquired, which means that it is not present at birth. ALL develops and progresses quickly. ALL occurs when the bone marrow makes too many abnormal lymphoblasts(immature lymphocytes). These immature cells(called blasts or leukemia cells) do not develop into mature, healthy cells. As the number of blasts increases in the bone marrow and blood, they crowd out healthy white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. 5, record 2, English, - acute%20lymphoblastic%20leukemia

2, record 3, French, - %C3%A9rythrocyte%20%C3%A0%20spicules

The clonal selection theory is based on the proposition that during development each lymphocyte becomes committed to react with a particular antigen before ever being exposed to it. A cell expresses this commitment in the form of surface receptor proteins that specifically fit the antigen. The binding of antigen to the receptors activates the cell, causing it both to multiply and mature. Thus a foreign antigen selectively stimulates those cells that bear complementary antigen-specific receptors and are thus already committed to respond to it. This is what makes immune responses antigen-specific. The term "clonal" in clonal selection derives from the postulate that the immune system is composed of millions of different families, or clones, of cells, each consisting of T or B lymphocytes descended from a common ancestor. Since each ancestral cell is already committed to make one particular antigen-specific receptor protein, all cells in a clone have the same antigen specificity. 1, record 6, English, - clonal%20selection

1, record 6, French, - s%C3%A9lection%20clonale

The Ayrshire cattle is a breed of dairy cattle originated from Ayrshire in Scotland. The average mature Ayrshire cow weighs 1000-1300 pounds. Ayrshires have red markings. The red can be an orange to a dark brown, with or without colored legs. They are known for low somatic cell counts, ability to convert grass into milk efficiently, and hardiness. Introduction Tenascin is a large hexameric extracellular matrix molecule with oncofetal properties. During embryonic development the protein is expressed in many parenchymatous organs, where it appears to have a regulating role in epithelial differentiation. In most mature tissues the expression is restricted to the papillary dermis, but reappears in tissue regeneration and repair and in neoplasia. In basal cell carcinoma two forms(Mr 210, 000 and 300, 000 kDa) of tenascin can be found, in contrast to normal skin and fibroblasts, where one form predominantly exists(Mr 300, 000 kDa). 1, record 21, English, - tenascin
