determinate(D) plants are more compact, bushy, and short-lived in nature. They generally have one main growth spurt, reach a certain size, and then yield a single large set of fruit all at once(or during a short period of time). Once a mature determinate plant has produced its main “bumper crop”, the plant will drastically slow down in production or stop growing entirely. Bush tomatoes and bush green beans are prime examples of determinate plants. 1, record 1, English, - determinate%20plant

Downy mildew of grape can be a serious disease in ... vineyards. This fungus disease develops whenever weather during the growing season is moist and temperatures are cool to moderate. The downy mildew fungus attacks leaves, fruit, shoots and tendrils. The disease may cause premature defoliation in mid to late summer that results in a weakening of the plant and reduced sugar content of the fruit. 2, record 6, English, - downy%20mildew%20of%20grape
Record number: 6, Textual support number: 1 OBS
On leaves, young infections appear as very small, greenish-yellow, translucent spots that are difficult to see. With time, the lesions enlarge and a white moldy growth composed of fungus threads(mycelium) and spores form on the undersides of the leaves. If lesions are numerous they may merge and cover most of the leaf. Infected leaves eventually turn brown, become dry and drop. Exposed berries may be scalded by the sun. If vines are defoliated before the ripening period, grapes may not mature normally. 2, record 6, English, - downy%20mildew%20of%20grape

2, record 6, French, - mildiou%20de%20la%20vigne

"The term describes a branchplant economy, in which subsidiaries are unable to initiate new products or develop new markets, while the country as a whole becomes overly dependent on foreign technology, know-how, and decisions. Too many of the conditions necessary for businesses to pursue their own commercial objectives are absent; they are located in the foreign parent companies. 2, record 10, English, - truncated%20subsidiary

The international market is broadly split into two-the Group market(again split into the Group Independent Traveller(GIT) and Group Tours) and the Free Independent Traveller(FIT) market. Group tour visitors generally stay a shorter period of time-one night is the norm-and most Asian markets have a preference for this type of travel. Accommodation is almost exclusively in mid to top range hotels. The FIT market generally stays a longer period of time, and as these visitors travel independently they utilise a wide range of accommodation and modes of travel. FIT's usually come from the more established western markets however there is a growing trend in this direction from the more mature Asian markets. 1, record 16, English, - free%20independent%20traveller

An introduction to senescence involves the terms monocarpic and polycarpic behavior. Some plants die at the time when their fruits mature i. e. cereals, peas, soybeans, etc. and this is called monocarpic senescence. This behavior is distinguished from polycarpic species which go through many cycles of growth and reproduction before death. 4, record 19, English, - polycarpic
