The Montreal Council of Social Agencies(MCSA), a co-ordinating organization for English-speaking, non-Roman Catholic social agencies, was formed in 1921 by John Howard Toynbee Falk, head of McGill' s Department of Social Studies, later the McGill University School of Social Workers. Although details of the organization of the MCSA have been modified over the years, the basic structure remained constant : a Board of Directors, elected from the member agencies, directed the MCSA through administrative standing committees and, more importantly, set up numerous special committees to study specific social problems under the aegis of area advisory groups for health, aging, urban renewal, recreation, etc. The overwhelming emphasis of the MCSA on planning and research reflects its role as animator, information exchange and coordinator of a great variety of social agencies and groups, from major hospitals and fund-raising organizations to church groups and boys’ clubs. In 1968, the MCSA merged with its French homologue, the Conseil de Développement Social du Montréal métropolitain. 2, record 16, English, - Conseil%20de%20d%C3%A9veloppement%20social%20du%20Montr%C3%A9al%20m%C3%A9tropolitain

The existing set of monetary arrangements in Europe--the exchange rate mechanism(ERM) of the European Monetary System(EMS)--has reduced the need for a stable demand for money in the member countries. The Common Fisheries Policy(CFP) is the European Union's instrument for the management of fisheries and aquaculture. The first common measures in the fishing sector date from 1970, when it was agreed that, in principle, EU fishermen should have equal access to Member States’ waters. However, in order to ensure that smaller vessels could continue to fish close to their home ports, a coastal band was reserved for local fishermen who have traditionally fished these areas. Measures were also adopted for a common market in fisheries products. A structural policy was set up to coordinate the modernisation of fishing vessels and on-shore installations. 1, record 21, English, - Common%20Fisheries%20Policy

The International Military Sports Council, known by its acronym "CISM", is an international sports association composed of the armed forces of member nations accepted by the General Assembly. CISM is open to the armed forces of all nations. The aims of CISM are to develop friendly relations between the Armed Forces of member nations, promote physical education and sports activities, provide mutual technical assistance, support less privileged members in the name of friendship and solidarity, contribute towards the balanced and harmonious development of military personnel, and contribute to the international effort for universal peace. On May 1946, the Allied Forces Sports Council was set up, namely by Colonel Debrus and Major Mollet who were among the founding fathers of CISM two years later. Unfortunately, because of political discord, the Allied Forces Sports Council was extinguished in 1947. However, the ideal was rekindled the following year with the founding of CISM and the rise of a global vision. 1, record 45, English, - International%20Military%20Sports%20Council

But even though a gang member might want to leave their gang, he or she might lack the social competency or skill set that is required to make a successful transition away from the gang lifestyle. 3, record 48, English, - gang%20exit%20strategy

The FATF, which has 28 member countries and governments, primarily from the industrial world, encourages countries to make money laundering a criminal activity in itself(many have already done so) ;it also seeks to strengthen international cooperation between criminal investigation agencies and the judiciaries in different countries. 3, record 52, English, - Financial%20Action%20Task%20Force%20on%20Money%20Laundering

There's no single team structure to use when assembling, motivating, and rewarding an e-learning development team. But there are specific roles that team members must perform. E-learning teams need people with technical expertise, subject matter knowledge, and interpersonal skills who are willing to learn. More important, teams need strong leadership that can bond this group of diverse talent. In addition to project managers, the e-learning team includes instructional designers, graphic artists, videographers, animators, writers, programmers, quality controllers, and subject matter experts. The Inner London Education Authority(ILEA), which began as a special authority consisting of all GLC councillors and one nominee from each inner London Borough council, was directly elected for the first and only time on 8th May 1986. For this election, each Parlimentary constituency constituted an electoral area returning two members. There were two byelections during its term : in Streatham, May 1987, and Southwark and Bermondsey, December 1988. It had been intended to move over to single member electoral areas for the 1990 and subsequent elections, and a set of boundaries was drawn up by the Boundary Commission(with some amendments proposed abolished ILEA). Before the boundary changes could take effect, the government abolished ILEA and transferred responsibility for education to the Boroughs. 1, record 71, English, - Inner%20London%20Education%20Authority

2, record 78, French, - groupe

As with "mutual recognition" of goods and services, the policy is that once accredited in one EC Member State, this accreditation will be accepted throughout the Community. As with testing and certification, there exists European specification for testing laboratories(EN 45 000), drawn from the UK/ISO model. Multinational manufacturing companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Rank Xerox are already harmonizing their European bases of operation to ISO 9000/EN 29 000. Thus, their suppliers are necessarily being accredited to BS 5750/ISO 9000 as a means of remaining capable of supplying companies throughout the EC. The European equivalent of Canadian testing and certification organizations are known as "Notified Bodies", who access the responsibility of manufacturers to the regulations in European Directives. At the present time, it is not certain who will decide upon the credibility of a third-country Notified Body, although the EOTC is set to perform this task.(Europe 1992.
