OBS

The Saskatchewan Goat Breeders Association Incorporated was founded in the mid 1970s by dedicated goat producers throughout the province to become the representative voice for the goat industry in Saskatchewan. The association was established as a not-for-profit entity managed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the general membership and continues to function as such to this day.

Founded in 1975, the British Association for Canadian Studies(BACS) is one of the member associations of the International Council for Canadian Studies, of which it was a founder member in 1981. BACS welcomes applications for membership from anyone with an interest in the study of Canada. BACS aims to function as a forum and meeting point for Canadian Studies in Britain. Its annual conference combines a wide range of topics and distinguished speakers with an informal and friendly atmosphere.

Two or more shipping lines operating a service in common between designated geographical areas.

The lines agree on a set of freight rates and any special rates for shippers and each line charges the same as the others. The ships used are of types suitable for the trade. Unlike tramp shipping where freight rates are a function of daily supply and demand, conference rates are relatively stable : base rates are altered by means of a general rate increase which in many cases is once a year. Lines in a conference are governed by the rules of membership which may include rights to load or discharge at certain ports and pooling of cargo.

La conferencia es pues un oligopolio que elimina toda competencia, no solo de fletes, sino en condiciones de prestación del servicio, en tal forma que el usuario no tiene ninguna alternativa para buscar fletes más económicos ni para lograr un mejor servicio.

Central European Initiative or CEI, is a political, economical, cultural and scientific international cooperative of at present 17 countries, founded in 1991/92 as a successor of the Pentagonale group. It is a body of international cooperation whose strategic function is to contribute to the economic development of central Europe, broaden opportunities for dialogue over the whole area and prepare non-EU members of the CEI for future membership of the Union.
