Science has also developed a process known as "electrodeposition" or more specifically known as "electroplating" whereby a coating of one or more different metals may be separately or simultaneously deposited upon another pure metal or alloy commonly known as the base metal. During this process there are no profound or important changes in the physical or chemical characteristics of the constitutent metals, except possibly at the immediate interfacing. This process has not resulted in a new class of metals but has produced a product well known and familiar to industry and the arts as "electroplated metals. In January 1997, the Packaging Association of Canada(PAC) and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union(CEP) joined together with Human Resources Development Canada(HRDC) to create the Packaging Careers Council of Canada(PCCC). The primary goal of PCCC is to study and respond to the human resources needs within the multi-faceted Canadian packaging field. The industry comprises both the users of packaging--industries such as food, beverage, hardware and pharmaceuticals--and the suppliers of packaging products and technology--metal, glass, plastics and paper container manufacturers and packaging machinery--plus a host of supporting industries including graphic arts, marketing, shipping and environmental assessment. 1, record 2, English, - Packaging%20Career%20Council%20of%20Canada

1, record 2, French, - Conseil%20canadien%20des%20carri%C3%A8res%20de%20l%27industrie%20de%20l%27emballage
