Turnbuckles are used for adjusting tension in ropes, cables, tie rods and other tensioning systems, as well as for pulling together and pushing apart anchor points. Heavy duty rigging turnbuckles consist of two threaded bolts, each screwed into the ends of a metal frame. One side is left-hand threaded and the other is right-hand threaded, so riggers can turn the metal frame to push apart and pull together the threaded bolts. These threaded bolts come with a wide variety of end fittings and attachments including jaws, eyes, clevises, hooks and many more. Resin transfer molding(RTM)... uses a closed mold, in two or more parts, usually made of glass-reinforced polymers or light metal alloys, with injection points and vents to allow air to escape. Reinforcement is cut to shape and placed in the mold, together with any inserts or fittings. The mold is closed and a low viscosity thermosetting resin(usually polyester) is injected under low pressure through a mixing head in which hardener is blended with the resin. 9, record 7, English, - resin%20transfer%20moulding

Triangulation Station. - A trigonometrical station, triangulation pillar, trig beacon or trig point is a fixed surveying station for the geodetic surveying and other surveying projects on nearby areas. They are generally known as Trigonometrical stations in North America, trig points in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia and trig beacons in South Africa; triangulation pillar is the more formal term for the concrete columns found in the UK. 2, record 9, English, - triangulation%20station
Record number: 9, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Trig pillars, or triangulation pillars in full, are concrete pillars usually (but not always) erected on hill or mountain summits. There are several thousand of them in Britain. They were erected by the Ordnance Survey (the government’s mapmaking and surveying agency), mostly in the nineteenth century, as part of a painstaking survey of Britain, and they are the base of Britain’s maps. Each of them represents a meticulously accurate position and elevation. In these days of aerial and satellite data they are falling into disuse but they are likely to be around for several hundred years yet. 9, record 9, English, - triangulation%20station
