Network cabling is a catchall term to describe the act of connecting multiple network devices to each other through a data transfer medium. There is a variety of methods used to connect these devices, and which method is used is largely dependent on the type of network to be installed. Each type of cable has different characteristics and capabilities, and choosing the right type of cable to use for a particular network is an integral key to the network's efficiency and long-term viability. 1, record 2, English, - network%20cabling

The power output can be enhanced by connecting two transistors in parallel or by using the push-pull connection. In the latter method, the two transistors are so connected that the collector current in one transistor falls when that in the other transistor rises. The distinct advantage of the push-pull operation over the parallel connection is that the symmetry of the circuit in the former operation eliminates the even-order harmonic distortion. 2, record 4, English, - push%2Dpull%20operation

Active soil depressurization has been found to be the most effective and reliableradon reduction technique in existing homes... This method involves installing a vent pipe through the basement floor slab... or connecting it to the foundation drain tiles through the sump. A fan that runs continuously is connected to the vent pipe. This reverses the air pressure difference between the house and soil, reducing concentrations of soil gas, including radon, next to the foundation. 3, record 5, English, - active%20soil%20depressurization

1, record 5, French, - d%C3%A9pressurisation%20active%20du%20sol

A stoping method in which relatively thin blocks of ore are caused to cave by successively undermining small panels. The ore deposit is developed by a series of sublevels spaced at vertical intervals of 18 to 25 or 30 feet and occasionally more.... The sublevels are developed by connecting the raises with a longitudinal subdrift from which timbered slice drifts are driven right and left opposite the raises to the ore boundaries or to the limits of the block. Usually alternate drifts are driven first, and caving back from them is begun and continued while the intermediate slices are being driven. The caving is begun at the ends of the slices by blasting out cuts and retreating in the same manner toward the raises.... Successively lower sublevels are developed and caved back until the entire block has been mined. 6, record 11, English, - sublevel%20caving

Norden's Method. In view of the recent proliferation of new washing methods and the possibility of connecting different types of washing equipment in series, it would be desirable to assign an efficiency number to equipment which is independent of dilution factor. Norden's method has been widely applied toward this objective. It assumes that a washing stage can be likened to a number of countercurrent mixing stages connected in series. In an individual stage, the pulp and associated solids-containing liquor(from the previous stage) are mixed with lower-solids wash liquor(from the next stage) ;the stock is then rethickened to the original consistency and the separated stock and liquor are passed countercurrently to their respective next stages. 1, record 15, English, - Norden%27s%20method

1, record 15, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20Norden

An assessment method of the reliability of incoming data based on information derived from the contents of the knowledge state, and on the assumption that the acquisition of new pieces of knowledge follows natural links connecting them to existing knowledge. The locus of learning is predicted by the frontier of the student's knowledge as defined on the network of these genetic links. In the student model, the confidence in the mastery of each piece of knowledge can be assessed not only on the basis of data extracted from behavior, but also in terms of the number and nature of genetic connections with other parts of the curriculum that have been made explicit by instruction. 1, record 16, English, - genetic%20organization
