[The authors] describe a method for generating an artificial society consisting of three parts : a population, an environment, and a set of rules. Their society is agent-based and micro-level, but the agents are only identified by a small number of attributes, so they lack personality and other believable properties. The agents are not networked together from the generation phase, but the set of rules [governs] the agents’ behaviours and interactions with one another in a cellular automata approach, allowing them to bond and form relationships at runtime... 1, record 1, English, - artificial%20society

2, record 1, Spanish, - sociedad%20artificial

The Data Coordination and Access Program(DCAP) of the Office of Public Health Practice(OPHP) acquires and manages centralized data holdings which are used by analysts across the Public Health Agency of Canada(PHAC) as well as Health Canada via the Data Extraction and Analysis application(DEXA). DCAP operates as a data broker on behalf of PHAC in the development of data sources and in the standardized, protected acquisition of data related to health. DCAP coordinates data requirements through PHAC s Health Surveillance Coordination Committee(HSCC) and provides a liaison function with Statistics Canada, CIHI and other data providers to represent the Agency's requirements and negotiate data sharing agreements. Our major clients are epidemiologists and analysts within PHAC and Health Canada who need both micro-level and summarized data to perform surveillance, research and policy development. 1, record 2, English, - Data%20Coordination%20and%20Access%20Program

1, record 2, French, - programme%20d%27acc%C3%A8s%20et%20coordination%20des%20donn%C3%A9es
