Microradiography has been standardized by ISO.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Physique radiologique et applications

Record 2 2001-06-11

English

Subject field(s)
  • Physics of Solids
CONT

Contact microscopy is the most widely exploited technique. Modern contact microscopy differs from earlier contact microradiography in two main ways. Resist materials(often PMMA, the material used to make Plexiglas) permit resolution superior to that of the photographic films originally used... Microscopy using resist detectors was pioneered by... IBM.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Physique des solides

Spanish

Campo(s) temático(s)
  • Física de los sólidos
CONT

Record 3 2001-04-09

English

Subject field(s)
  • Radiological Physics (Theory and Application)
CONT

... the first images were made by shining X rays through a specimen placed in contact with ordinary photographic film. The X rays that passed through the specimen exposed the film, and the resulting image could then be examined with a light microscope. This form of X-ray microscopy, known as contact microradiography, is still in use today.

Spanish

Campo(s) temático(s)
  • Física radiológica (Teoría y aplicación)
CONT
