CONT

Some sources erroneously refer to MOST as being a telescope.... In fact, MOST is a microsatellite that incorporates a small(15 cm aperture), high-photometric-precision optical telescope.

CONT

To determine the frequency of short tandem repeat instability in adenocarcinoma of the prostate, we studied 40 tumors that were stratified according to tumor grade. The tissue samples were screened with di-, tri-and tetranucleotide markers spanning a wide range of chromosomal loci, including an androgen receptor gene trinucleotide repeat. Microsatellite instability was observed overall in only one of the 40(2. 5%) prostate adenocarcinomas studied. This replication error-positive tumor demonstrated repeat length alterations at two loci.

For missions requiring full three-axis attitude control, the SSTL [Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. ] Microsatellite can be equipped with a zero-bias reaction-wheel attitude control system fed by a single SSTL Astrolabe star camera for attitude determination. This system can attain pointing accuracy of 1 arc-minute in all axes. It can be designed for astronomical pointing, Sun pointing, or Earth pointing with slewing and target tracking.

The structure design is one of the fundamental defining subsystems of the spacecraft, and as such the AMP structure is the baseline structure. This structure presents several challenges to be used on a microsatellite, namely the cost, AIT operations and adaptability to change. Also, the fact that this structure has not flown before, makes it more difficult to predict what are the problems that one might encounter when actually building the spacecraft. On the other hand, this structure allows a generous payload capacity in a low total mass platform. The accommodation study performed, shows that it is possible to fit the mission in the AMP structure...
