The slit lamp examination uses a tool that provides a magnified three-dimensional (3-D) view of the parts of the eye. During the examination, your doctor can look at the front parts of the eye. These parts include the clear, outer covering (cornea), the lens, and coloured part (iris). The doctor can also see the front part of the thick fluid (vitreous gel) that fills the large space in the middle of the eye. Special lenses can be placed between the slit lamp and the cornea (or on the cornea) to help the doctor see deeper structures of the eye. These structures include the optic nerve, the retina, and the area where fluid drains out of the eye (drainage angle). 7, record 1, English, - slit%20lamp%20biomicroscopy

To perform a Papanicolaou (Pap) test, the doctor scrapes cells from the surface of the cervix with a small wooden applicator much like a tongue depressor. Then, a small bristle brush can be used to obtain a sample of cells from the canal of the cervix.

Fiber Length. Traditionally, the fiber length distribution or weighted average fiber length of a pulp sample has been determined either by microscopic examination of a representative number of fibers, by means of a special drainage grid, or by screen classification of a sample into different length fractions.... In the classification method, a dilute suspension of fibers is made to flow at high velocity parallel to screen slots, while a much slower velocity passes through the slots. In this way, the fibers are presented lengthwise to a series of selected screens with successively smaller mesh openings, and only the fibers short enough to bridge the openings pass into the next chamber. The pulp sample is typically divided into five length fractions. 1, record 32, English, - classification%20method

1, record 32, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20par%20fractionnement
