Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
In eukaryotic cells, membrane compartments are split into two by membrane fission. This ensures discontinuity of membrane containers and thus proper compartmentalization. The first proteic machinery implicated in catalyzing membrane fission [is] dynamin. Dynamin forms helical collars at the neck of endocytic buds. This structural feature [suggests] that the helix of dynamin could constrict in order to promote fission of the enclosed membrane. 3, record 1, English, - dynamin

Kinesin is a dimeric motor protein that can move for several micrometers along a microtubule without dissociating. The two kinesin motor domains are thought to move processively by operating in a hand-over-hand manner, although the mechanism of such cooperativity is unknown. Recently, a ~50-amino acid region adjacent to the globular motor domain(termed the neck) has been shown to be sufficient for conferring dimerization and processive movement. Based upon its amino acid sequence, the neck is proposed to dimerize through a coiled-coil interaction. To determine the accuracy of this prediction and to investigate the possible function of the neck region in motor activity, we have prepared a serie of synthetic peptides corresponding to different regions of the human kinesin neck and analyzed each peptide for its respective secondary content and stability. 2, record 8, English, - synthetic%20peptide

2, record 8, French, - peptide%20synth%C3%A9tique

Marine compounds acting on microtubules-Until this decade natural microtubule poisons were obtained mainly from plants(and also to a lesser extent from fungi and bacteria). However, it has been suggested that marine organisms could be a very suitable source of antimicrotubular compounds. Among them, isohomohalichondrin B has been described. Isohomohalichondrin B has activity against lung cancer or melanoma cell lines, and it prevents the binding of GTP to tubulin. Additionally there are other compounds like Ecteinascidin 743(from the tunicate Ecteinascidin turbinata), with activity in lung cancer, breast cancer and melanoma cells lines; or lamellarin N(from the tunicate Didemnum sp.) also with activity in lung cancer cell lines. These compounds promote a different rearrangment of the cell microtubule network and cause cell death. 1, record 10, English, - ecteinascidin

Vincristine's mode of action is unknown. In vitro investigations have demonstrated that vincristine is a spindle inhibitor. This inhibition has been linked to a reversible binding of the drug to microtubule and spindle proteins in S phase. 1, record 13, English, - spindle%20inhibitor
