To this end, the Military/Civilian Training Accreditation Committee(M/CTAC) was formed in November, 1974 to "recommend a realistic program to implement accreditation throughout the Canadian Forces". The M/CTAC is aiming to have a serviceman receive his equivalent civilian tradesman's certification when he meets the requirements while performing his service trade.
