The mission of the CME Museum is to preserve and interpret the CME's heritage and to enchance the sense of identity and esprit de corps of the CME. The Military Engineers’ Museum Association of Canada(MEMAC) is dedicated to the preservation of this history. The museum opened 11 May 1957 at CFB Chilliwack, Vedder Crossing, BC as the Royal Canadian Engineer Museum. Le Musée du génie militaire des Forces canadiennes a pour mission de préserver et d'interpréter le patrimoine du GMC et d'accroître le sentiment d'appartenance et d'esprit de corps du génie. L'Association du musée du génie militaire du Canada (AMGMC) est vouée à préserver ce patrimoine. Le musée a ouvert ses portes le 11 mai 1957 à la BFC Chilliwack, à Vedder Crossing, C.-B., sous le nom de Royal Canadian Engineer Museum.
