The Montreal Neurological Institute(MNI) is a teaching and research institute of McGill University that is characterized by multidisciplinary interactions between basic scientists and clinicians studying the nervous system and the causes of neurological diseases. Scientific activity is coordinated in eleven separate yet interconnected research units that run the full spectrum of contemporary neuroscience. Among the MNI's internationally recognized strengths are epilepsy research and treatment, brain imaging, and cognitive neuroscience. Institut voué à l'étude du cerveau et du système nerveux, l'Institut neurologique de Montréal (INM) est affilié à l'Université McGill. L'INM est un chef de file mondial dans le domaine de la recherche sur l'épilepsie et de son traitement et a joué un rôle clé dans l'élaboration d'importantes techniques médicales comme l'électroencéphalographie (enregistrement de l'activité électrique du cerveau, EEG), l'imagerie en trois dimensions pour la neurochirurgie, la tomographie par émission de positrons (TEP), et l'imagerie par résonnance magnétique (IRM).
