Indigenous people inhabiting Labrador and northeastern Quebec. The Innu nation consists of 3 groups-the Naskapi, the Attikamek and the Montagnais. In Quebec the Innu are called "Montagnais" or "Naskapi", depending not only on their ethnic origins, but also their geographic location in the province. Strictly speaking, however, the Montagnais and the Naskapi are specific sub-groups of the Innu; in Labrador and Newfoundland, one speaks only of the "Innu". The term "Innu" is invariable. 3, record 8, English, - Innu

1, record 12, French, - tradition%20orale

Another important aspect of communications for the Montagnais is the use of a high-frequency radio system commonly called "hunters’ radio".
