This class of wheat is grown in the Great Plains area of the U. S. which includes the states of Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming. In 1981, it formed about 40% of total U. S. wheat production. The wheat is a strong type(gluten quality) and its flour produces good bread. Its average protein content is in the range of 12 to 13%; normally it has good test weight(75 to 77 kilograms per hectolitre) and is low in moisture content(11 to 12%). With proper conditioning it gives good milling results. The most prominent varieties of this group in 1981 were Newton, Larned, Eagle and Scout. Hard red winter wheat has no subclasses for grading purposes. It is assigned numerical grades but has somewhat higher(2 pounds for No. 1 and 1 pound for other grades) test weights. 1, record 26, English, - hard%20red%20winter%20wheat

[Description of a North American Aboriginal costume displayed at the British Museum :] War shirt, leggings, head-dress and moccasins. Blackfoot, around AD 1840-1860. From Alberta or Montana, North America. Various items of the Blackfoot costume. The war shirt is decorated with painted designs including Thunderbirds, bison heads, horses, and tadpoles, probably representing a combination of religious images relating to specific exploits of the owner... The tadpoles, also depicted down the leggings, may represent war wounds. Large amounts of ermine or weasel fur have been used on the leggings, this animal being considered the most dangerous, for its size, by the Blackfoot. 2, record 29, English, - war%20shirt

The names ortho-amphibolite, para-amphibolite and meta-amphibolite may be found occasionally in the literature. The prefix ... ortho- was used for the following rocks: metamorphic rocks of igneous origin, rocks containing K-feldspar, SiO2-saturated rocks, sediments with defined contents of matrix, contents of carbon in coals, type of cumulates, etc. The use of the prefixes ortho- and para- is accepted by SCMR in the classical concept of Rosenbusch for metamorphic rocks derived from igneous and sedimentary parents respectively, but difficulties may exist in determining the nature of the protolith by directly observable features. 5, record 40, English, - orthoamphibolite

Housing stock is in short supply across Montana : available rental housing stands at less than 1 percent in Bozeman and in Billings, and in Missoula the overall vacancy rate is less than 2 percent. The current real estate boom is a complete turnaround for some communities that experienced a glut of housing in the 1980s. There was a housing surplus in Missoula as recent as 1989, according to Nancy Leifer, coordinator of the Missoula Housing Task Force. In Billings, "the 80s were pretty devastating" says Lucy Brown, executive director of the Housing Authority of Billings. "The market has miraculously reversed itself in four years, "Brown says. 2, record 61, English, - housing%20surplus
