Shot blasting is done to bring about a good, clean surface of metal. Shot blasting machines are normally utilized in the mining industry, as well as some transporting industries. Wheelabrator structural steel shot blast cleaning systems have been designed to clean different structural shapes for before or after fabrication. They are also commonly used in the foundry industry. 1, record 1, English, - shot%20blasting%20machine

wheelaborator.... The [castings] are tumbled about in a cabinet on a horizontal belt and at the same time are subjected to bombardment by a stream of metal shot. This latter is maintained by feeding the shot on to the blades of an impeller. The shot are then projected centrifugally at high speed on to the castings. This method is more economical and admits of better control of the abrasive than is possible using air jets. The moving belt must, of course, be well covered with parts to be cleaned, and the impeller blades should preferably be of some hard metal such as high-silicon iron. 3, record 1, English, - shot%20blasting%20machine

1, record 1, French, - grenailleuse%20%C3%A0%20turbine%20centrifuge

The simplest turbines have one moving part, a rotor assembly, which is a shaft with blades attached. Moving fluid acts on the blades, or the blades react to the flow, so that they rotate and impart energy to the rotor. Early turbine examples are windmills and water wheels. stall regulation. The blades on a stall-regulated-WT [wind turbine] cannot be pitched. To achieve control of power captured above rated wind speed, the blades are carefully designed so that they progressively stall starting at the blade root and moving out towards the tip as the wind speed increases further. Stall-regulated WTs will respond much more quickly to gusts than pitch-regulated WTs(where mecanic pitch adjustments take finite amounts of time to effect), improving the power quality output by the WT above rated wind speed. 1, record 5, English, - stall%2Dregulated%20blade

A ramjet engine is a mechanically simple aerospace engine that creates thrust by burning fuel similarly to a normal jet-aircraft engine. The big difference between a jet engine and a ramjet is that a jet-turbine uses fans to compress air to optimize combustion, and a ramjet creates air-compression by the forward motion of air through a partially-restricted intake system. Ramjets have no moving parts, which is a big advantage in comparison to the delicate turbine blades in a normal jet-engine, however ramjet engines typically are not very efficient below speeds of Mach 2. 3, record 9, English, - hypersonic%20ramjet

"wheelaborator" : A machine used for cleaning castings. The latter are tumbled about in a cabinet on a horizontal belt and at the same time are subjected to bombardment by a stream of metal shot. 3, record 16, English, - wheelabrating
