Since its formation in 1971, the New Brunswick Nurses Provincial Collective Bargaining Council(NBNPCBC),(later to become the New Brunswick Nurses’ Union in 1978). The New Brunswick Nurses’ Union is a labour organization of approximately 6000 members employed in various settings throughout the province of New Brunswick, dedicated to upholding and promoting the economic, social and professional interests of its members, by its internal structure, the participation of the maximum number of members services and member representation, NBNU is an organization that recognizes that we cannot progress without promoting social issues under ties of solidarity, with other labour organizations and community groups.

Le SIINB offre un leadership efficace par des services à ses membres ainsi que la défense de leurs intérêts et constitue une organisation qui reconnaît que nous ne pouvons pas progresser sans promouvoir les enjeux sociaux dans la solidarité avec d'autres organisations syndicales et groupes communautaires.
