To distinguish it from the QALY they have named their new measure the healthy year equivalent(HYE). It involves the valuation of whole health profiles, which vary in terms of the sequence and duration of health states. Cognitive psychologists claim that we learn by mentally drawing connections between new information and information already within memory. In a sense, the brain is organized into giant webs of ideas and concepts. Many creative ideas come from the novel combinations of ideas already stored in memory; that is to say, new ideas can come simply from drawing new connections. This is the logic behind atechnique called idea mapping. 1, record 31, English, - idea%20mapping

1, record 36, French, - Loi%20sur%20l%27indemnisation%20des%20victimes%20d%27actes%20criminels

The War of the Spanish Succession(1701-1714) was a major European conflict that arose in 1701 after the death of the last Spanish Habsburg king, Charles II. Charles had bequeathed all of his possessions to Philip, duc d’Anjou-a grandson of the French King Louis XIV-who thereby became Philip V of Spain. The war began slowly, as the Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I fought to protect his own dynasty's claim to the Spanish inheritance. As Louis XIV began to expand his territories more aggressively, however, other European nations(chiefly England and the Dutch Republic) entered on the Holy Roman Empire's side to check French expansion(and, in the English case, to safeguard the Protestant succession). Other states joined the coalition opposing France and Spain in an attempt to acquire new territories, or to protect existing dominions. The war was fought not only in Europe, but also in north America, where the conflict became known to the English colonists as Queen Anne's War. 1, record 42, English, - War%20of%20the%20Spanish%20Succession

The January effect occurs because many investors choose to sell some of their stock right before the end of the year in order to claim a capital loss for tax purposes. Exhibition of the Canadian Museum of Civilization. "Inuit living in the western Canadian Arctic call themselves "Inuvialuit", meaning "real human beings", and have long considered themselves distinct from other Canadian Inuit. Today this distinct identity has a political dimension; the Inuvialuit chose not to join Nunavut(the new Inuit territory in the eastern Arctic), but to remain in the Northwest Territories under their own land claim agreement. The exhibition "Inuvialuit" explores the history of this unique Arctic people, from their first arrival in the Canadian Arctic from Alaska about a thousand years ago to the modern era. The exhibition highlights material collected by fur trader Roderick MacFarlane in the 1860s, and the photographic resources of the Anglican Archives, dating from the 1890s.
