Freshly harvested "green" wild rice is invariably on the damp side. It must commence drying, or "curing, "almost immediately, or souring and mold will develop, especially in broken or crushed grains. Another purpose of the curing period is to give the immature grains a chance to ripen. Given this opportunity, a good number of the soft grains will get hard and gain the dark brown or black color of a ripe grain. 2, record 1, English, - green%20wild%20rice

Cultured meat is meat produced in vitro, in a cell culture... The production of cultured meat begins by taking a number of cells from a farm animal and proliferating them in a nutrient-rich medium.... The resulting cells can then be harvested, seasoned, cooked, and consumed as a boneless, processed meat, such as sausage, hamburger, or chicken nuggets. 9, record 3, English, - in%20vitro%20meat

La première «viande éprouvette» est pour bientôt. [...] 6, record 3, French, - viande%20in%20vitro

The process of turning beets into sugar began with the local farmers, who had to pledge to plant a certain number of acres in sugar beets. When the harvested beets were delivered to the factory, they were weighed, washed and sliced. A diffusion battery separated the juice from the pulp. The pulp was dried and used as cattle fodder. The juice was processed and boiled under vacuum until grains of sugar were formed. The grains of sugar were separated from the molasses, or moisture, run through a drier to become the product known as granulated sugar, and then packaged. 1, record 4, English, - diffusion%20battery

2, record 4, French, - batterie%20de%20diffusion
