Onion routing is a technique for anonymous communication over a computer network. In an onion network, messages are encapsulated in layers of encryption, analogous to layers of an onion. The encrypted data is transmitted through a series of network nodes called onion routers, each of which "peels" away a single layer, uncovering the data's next destination. When the final layer is decrypted, the message arrives at its destination. The sender remains anonymous because each intermediary knows only the location of the immediately preceding and following nodes. 1, record 16, English, - onion%20routing

A cabbage-size onion of the family Liliaceae that may weigh up to 13 pounds with a stalk that can grow to nearly 5 feet high... It grows wild in sandy coastal areas fringing the Mediterranean, in South Africa and on the coast of the Canary Islands... Although sea onions are grown in cultivation, most of the world's supply of derivative chemical comes from the wild plants. The chemical may differ, depending on the color of the bulb's outer layers. Although one name for the species as a whole is red squill, two varieties exist : white and red. Both kinds contain the medical drugs for which the bulbs are sought, but the red variety, which is largely collected in Algeria and Cyprus, also contains a highly poisonous substance, scillirocide. Therefore, only white squill is commonly used as a medicinal source. 1, record 25, English, - red%20squill

1, record 27, Spanish, - bulbillo

Philippe, The Original, is one of the oldest and best known restaurants in Southern California. Philippe’s was established in 1908 by Philippe Mathieu, who claimed the distinction of having created the "French Dipped Sandwich." One day in 1918, while making a sandwich, Mathieu inadvertently dropped the sliced French roll into the roasting pan filled with juice still hot from the oven. The patron [took] the sandwich anyway and ... so was born "The French dipped Sandwich." So called either because of Mathieu’s French heritage, the French roll the sandwich is made on or because the officer’s name was French. 2, record 57, English, - French%20dip%20sandwich

The Three Rivers Research, Conservation and Development Council, Inc., located in Milton, Florida has combined hydroponics, solar radiation and greenhouse technologies to grow year round, the "Santa Rosa Sweet" onion. With no pesticides used in the process, this innovative... technology uses the solar-heated hydroponic solution in its greenhouses to reduce the amounts of energy required to grow crops 12-months a year indefinitely.... 2, record 97, French, - oignon%20%C3%A0%20botteler
