The term "CPIC Offline Search"(OLS) refers to the method of processing and searching the CPIC system and its logs for records in a computing environment independent of the CPIC online computer system. Generally, the data being searched is information that cannot be obtained from direct CPIC queries. This search process may only be executed by the CPIC Offline Search Unit in an offline capacity by using specifically designed computer programs.
