The MCS system provides the primary tactical planning tool for the brigade. Supported by graphics decision support tools, including digital maps, aerial or satellite photos, dynamic 3D "flyover" view of the battlespace, and mobility analysis of the terrain, map overlays with intelligence and battle resources by unit. Commanders can quickly and clearly analyze different courses of action and take decisions based on thorough analysis of up-to-date situational assessment, various maneuver schemes, doctrine, and changes encountered during the course of action. Once detailed plan is determined, the MCS prepare and send warning operations orders, and related annexes. During the mission, the system provides automatic updates of friendly/enemy unit movement locations and battlefield geometry. As all information is maintained on the database, re-tasking of units is rapid and flexible. As an integrated part of the battle command systems, MCS receives information from external sources and updates those sources within predetermined operational plans. The Integrated Planning and Reporting Division(IPRD) is responsible for the Health Canada's annual planning and reporting cycle so that the department can provide the key departmental planning and performance reporting documents that will support both the Government's efforts to effectively plan and evaluate its performance, and Parliament's budgetary, appropriation and accountability functions. The Australian Centre for Remote Sensing(ACRES) is Australia's major satellite Remote Sensing organisation, which was established as the Australian Landsat Station in 1979. ACRES is a business unit of the Australian Surveying and Land Information Group(AUSLIG), Department of Industry, Science and Resources. British Aerospace Australia is employed under contract to provide operations and maintenance services. This computerized band was developed by managers to assist in the preparation of their Human Resources Planning exercise. It contains information on HRDC positions, employees, staffing action/adjustments, and Training and Development. Position information collected includes the Position number, title, group and level, exclusion indicator, language requirements, unit, reporting relationship(supervisor's position number and title). Employee information includes the Public service start date, birthdate, home address and telephone number, employee type(full-time, part-time, etc.) position title and number, location and telephone number, bilingual capability, employment history, career aspirations, mobility, training and development history(as well as proposed), date of last performance appraisal(as well as a BF for the next due appraisal). The system also keeps track of start/end dates for acting, secondment and assignment situations with an active BF system. Staffing action/adjustment module keeps track of areas which, in the opinion of the manager, will require some action to ensure that operational demands are met; this includes vacancies which are likely to occur due to long-term disability leave, maternity leave, care and nurturing leave, extended vacation leave and any other situation which will require attention.
