Pro-rating is the average weekly hours of work over the preceding two(2) pay periods as a proportion of the number of hours in the full work week. For example, for a fulltime employee who has worked 35 hours, 40 hours, 33 hours and 32 hours in the past four(4) weeks, the average weekly hours are 35(i. e. 35+40+33+32=140 hours/4 weeks=35 hours per week, or seven(7) hours per day). 1, record 8, French, - calcul%20proportionnel

An increase in wages or salary means that the wage or salary amount is augmented, enlarged, or expanded. This implies that an amount was added to the wages or salary, therefore, constituting a newly agreed rate of pay for the work performed. Often an increase of salary is given retroactively. This occurs during contract renewal where workers continue to perform their duties at their former rate of pay while the contract is being negotiated. When the contract is finally signed and there is a new agreement as to an increased salary level, that new salary is often effective at an earlier date. In this case, payment must be made retroactively to compensate for the difference under the old contract and the increased salary level under the new contract. In other cases, an employer may unilaterally give an increase in salary that may also be retroactive. These retroactive increases in wages or salary are specifically excluded from consideration as earnings. 5, record 9, English, - retroactive%20pay%20increase

Columbus, Ohio, was the second city in the U. S. to establish a community based meals program. Building on the model set forth in Philadelphia, a federation of women's clubs throughout the town to inform them of possible participants for the meal service. Then a group of "inspectors" from the associated women's clubs visited the persons on the list. The inspectors evaluated whether or not the seniors had the ability to pay for the meals and charged on a sliding scale, from $. 80 to $2. 00 a day. In Columbus, all the meals were prepared by local restaurants and delivered by taxi cabs during the week. On weekends high school students filled the posts. 1, record 13, English, - meal%20service

Purge & recreate-Adjustments to Active claims through a manual process. P & R has two important roles to play in the E. I. Benefit Pay process. First, by purging and recreating, it assists in maintaining the BNOP Master file on request. Second, P & R converts Claims from the Manual Pay System to the Computer Pay System. Every claim recreated or converted produces a CPSR [Claimant's Pay Status Report]. Purge and Recreate utilises Week Codes for processing as opposed to calendar dates. A number of files and reports carry these Week-Codes and comparisons are made on Week Code values. 1, record 14, English, - benefit%20pay%20%2D%20PR

1, record 14, French, - paiement%20des%20prestations%20%2D%20ER
