Night Zoo(French : Un zoo la nuit) is a multiple award winning 1987 Canadian film. It is directed and written by Jean-Claude Lauzon. The drama made its debut at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival. Marcel(Gilles Maheu) is released from prison, hoping to reconcile with his dying Father Albert(Lebel). Marcel is also harassed by a corrupt gay cop. Marcel returns to his Father who reveals that he has money and drugs stashed away for him. Marcel and his gay former cellmate both corner the corrupt cop and get their revenge on him. Un zoo la nuit est un film canadien réalisé par Jean-Claude Lauzon, sorti en 1987. Un ancien taulard violé dans sa cellule retrouve son père avec lequel il parviendra enfin à éprouver de l'affection et à communiquer. Il doit échapper à des policiers corrompus qui savent qu'il avait caché quelque part une importante somme d'argent et de la cocaïne pour la durée de son incarcération. Alors que le père est mourant, son fils lui organise une dernière partie de chasse à l'orignal. Il l'apporte au zoo, où il pense être certain d'en trouver un. Lorsqu'il constate son erreur, il suggère à son père de tuer l'éléphant. La scène est envoûtante, mêlée à la voix de Jacques Brel qui chante Voir un ami pleurer.
