Une deuxième espèce, très fréquemment cultivée, et dont les branches abondantes décorent les balustrades des balcons et des terrasses, est celle qu'on nomme Géranium-lierre (Pelargonium lateripes = P. peltatum ou P. hederaefolium), originaire aussi du Cap de Bonne-Espérance. Il a des tiges couchées ou ascendantes, articulées-noueuses, fragiles et frêles; les feuilles alternes peltées-anguleuses, vert vif, montrent une tache en forme de couronne de couleur brun-rougeâtre.
