Placekicking is the phase of the kicking game that you’ll use when your team attempts to score a point after touchdown(PAT) or kicking a field goal; your team will attempt a field goal if the drive has been stopped and the team is close enough to the opponent's goal line.... During this phase of the kicking game, three players use special techniques : the kicker(who makes the kick), the holder(who catches the ball from the center and places it on the tee), and the center,(also known as the short snapper(who centers the ball back to the holder). 4, record 2, English, - kicking%20game

Penetration diving. In technical penetration diving, there are broadly two approaches. The conventional approach involves the use of continuous guidelines laid from a wreck reel, tied just outside the entrance point, just inside the entrance point, and at regular intervals inside(to mitigate the risk of a cut line, or a "line trap"... An alternative approach, popularised by deep wreck divers in the American Northeast, is referred to as "progressive penetration. "Progressive penetration eschews the use of reels, but the diver makes several successive penetrations, each successively deeper than the last, memorising the layout for both the inward and outward journeys. 3, record 11, English, - penetration%20dive

Streamer lines are long lines attached to a high point on the stern of a fishing boat so that they fall slowly to the surface of the water. On the 25 m or so of the lines, multiple "streamers" are attached : strands of often brightly coloured line attached on a swivel to the main line. These move in the wind and interfere with birds attempting to reach the baited longline below. 2, record 15, English, - streamer

1, record 15, French, - banderole%20d%27effarouchement

The argument of pericenter, for example, is defined as follows. There is a line through space which is fixed by convention as a reference. If one body orbits another(for instance the Moon orbiting around the Earth) the argument of pericenter associated with this orbit is the angle in the plane of the orbit between the reference line and the closest point of the orbit to the focus. There is a great deal of confusion between "tank farm" and "tank battery." Two sources give them as synonyms while several others define the first as an area or site and the second as a collection or assembly of tanks, or vice versa. However it is the terminologist’s opinion that "tank farm" should be looked at as a site or an area, and "tank battery" as a group, collection, or assembly of storage tanks. 6, record 31, English, - tank%20battery

sun-run-sun : So we now know how to get a single position line from a single sun sight. But we need at least two position lines to get an actual position fix, or position estimate. But there is only one sun, so we have to wait for the sun to move to take another sun sight and get another position line. Ideally, we would take a sun sight in the morning and obtain a position line, and take another sight in the afternoon for a second position line. This will result in two almost perpendicular lines, which will give us the most reliable fix with two lines(the closer the lines are to [being] perpendicular, the less susceptible their crossing point is to error). 3, record 32, English, - sun%2Drun%2Dsun%20method

There are three different types of foam proportioners commonly used in the fire service :line eductors, balanced pressure proportioners, and around-the-pump proportioners. The line eductor is the simplest and least expensive proportioning device. It has no moving parts in the water way, which makes it durable and dependable. The line eductor may be attached to the hoseline or may be part of the nozzle. There are two different types of line eductors : the in-line eductor and the self-educting nozzle. Both types of eductors use the venturi principle to draft foam concentrate into the water stream. As water at high pressure passes over a reduced opening, it creates a low-pressure area near the outlet side of the eductor. This low-pressure area creates a suction effect. The eductor pickup tube is connected to the eductor at this low-pressure point. The pickup tube submerged in the foam concentrate draws concentrate into the water stream, creating a foam water solution. 6, record 47, English, - in%2Dline%20foam%20concentrate%20inducer

Cartesian coordinates. In the plane, a point can be located by its distances from two intersecting straight lines, the distance from one line being measured along a parallel to the other line. The two intersecting lines are called axes [, ] oblique axes when they are not perpendicular, and rectangular axes when they are perpendicular. The coordinates are then called oblique coordinates and rectangular coordinates respectively. 2, record 57, English, - rectangular%20coordinates

The game of quoits is played on a ’rink’, the object being to toss a quoit(a round piece of iron with a round hole in the middle) onto an immovable hub or pin set in the ground, or failing this to get nearer to the pin than one's opponent. Measurements are taken from the central point of the hub. Two pins are used : they are set at least 18 feet apart and are surrounded by beds of clay 4 ft 6 in. in diameter; only one inch of the pin is left exposed. The quoits are thrown at one pin from a line level with the other pin, and should either lodge over the pin or dig into the clay. Each player throws two quoits. 1, record 93, English, - quoit%20rink
