The Controlled Products Regulations describe technical criteria for identifying materials which are classified as dangerously reactive. A dangerously reactive material can react vigorously : with water to produce a very toxic gas; on its own by polymerization or decomposition; or under conditions of shock, or an increase in pressure or temperature. A dangerously reactive material may cause a fire, explosion or other hazardous condition. It is very important to know which conditions(such as shock, heating or contact with water) may set off the dangerous reaction so that appropriate preventive measures can be taken. 3, record 28, English, - dangerously%20reactive%20material

Record number: 29, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Hemovigilance is performed to meet three objectives at both the local and national level : to identify risks and their related factor(s) and monitor these risks. The alert function cannot be dissociated from epidemiological surveillance because both processes involve evaluating the impact of the preventive measures in place. The incidence of risks must be estimated and their evolution followed up for each type of recorded transfusion-related incident. At the blood collection level which is part of donor selection, the goal of hemovigilance is to assess the relevance of various medical indicators present in individuals who wish to donate blood. At the transfusion level, the goal of hemovigilance is to estimate the incidence of transfusion-induced side effects in recipients(e. g. viral or bacterial contamination, alloimmunization transfusion attribution errors). The incidence and prevalence of transfusion-associated incidents occasionally justifies the distinction between the three elements of the hemovigilance strategy : the alert system, recipient surveillance and blood collection surveillance. 4, record 29, English, - haemovigilance

Geomembranes are very low permeability membrane liners and barriers used with any geotechnical engineering based material so as to control fluid migrations in a man-made project, structure or system. The term liner applies when a geomembrane is used as an interface or a surface revetment. The term barrier is usually reserved for the cases where the geomembrane is used inside an earth mass. Geomembrane is a generic term which has been proposed to replace many terms such as: synthetic membranes, polymeric membranes, plastic liners, flexible membrane liners, impermeable membranes and impervious sheets. 1, record 48, English, - barrier

Geomembrane Liners : Accidents and Preventive Measures. Performance of geomembrane-lined facilities used for waste disposal and liquid storage is analyzed, providing a check-list of failure mechanisms and guidelines for prevention. Approximately thirty such facilities exhibiting various mechanisms of failures were investigated by the author. Failure is characterized by leakage or large liner displacement hampering operation of the facility. 1, record 49, English, - geomembrane%20liner

Geomembranes are very low permeability membrane liners and barriers used with any geotechnical engineering based material so as to control fluid migrations in man-made project, structure or system. 1, record 49, English, - geomembrane%20liner

4, record 49, French, - g%C3%A9omembrane
