The Public Health Agency of Canada continued to strengthen its Contract and Requisition Control Committee(CRCC) function through continuous improvement of its review and documentation processes. Health Canada procurement resources were deployed to the Agency to develop procurement strategies for program managers and liaise with all parties regarding the processing and administration of contracts.

The ACRO is an interdepartmental working level committee that reviews and resolves areas of conflict related to the development of procurement strategies for those contracts included in the annual defence Repair and Overhaul plan that will result in an annual expenditure of at least $500K. Upon completion of its review, the ACRO submits the annual plan for approval to the standing SPAC for Repair and Overhaul(DG level).

À votre connaissance, votre communauté a-t-elle été consultée au sujet du projet de loi C-79? Est-ce que vous avez reçu de la correspondance à cet effet? Avez-vous répondu au ministre? Selon vous, une consultation ne devrait-elle pas aller plus loin qu'un simple échange de correspondance?

Le ministre a défini la consultation comme étant un échange de correspondance. Il lui semble suffisant d'adresser deux ou trois lettres à l'ensemble des nations autochtones pour qu'il puisse affirmer que le processus de consultation a été respecté. Est-ce que selon la tradition autochtone, un simple échange de correspondance est suffisant pour dire qu'il y a eu consultation?
