Plank bridge : Start by lying face down on the ground. Place your elbows and forearms underneath your chest. Prop yourself up to form a bridge using your toes and forearms. Maintain a flat back and do not allow your hips to sag towards the ground. Hold for 10-30 seconds or until you can no longer maintain a flat bridge.

La planche abdominale est un exercice efficace et facile à faire chez soi. Pour ce faire, il suffit de placer une grande serviette au sol et de se coucher à plat ventre. Placez-vous de façon semblable à une pompe, c'est-à-dire, les jambes droites, les pieds légèrement écartés, et appuyez-vous sur vos avant-bras plutôt que sur vos mains. Gardez cette position le plus longtemps possible, au moins 15 à 20 secondes, et répétez trois fois. Cet exercice raffermit les muscles qui supportent la colonne et les organes internes, soit les abdominaux, les obliques, les transversaux et les lombaires.

Le premier exercice est la planche abdominale. Réalisé en isométrie, c’est-à-dire en maintenant une position statique pour un temps donné, cet exercice permet le renforcement des muscles de la ceinture abdominale en plus d’aider au développement de l’endurance musculaire au niveau lombaire.

A tiltwing aircraft is similar in concept to a tiltrotor design. Whereas a tilt rotor rotates the propeller from axial to dorsal, a tiltwing rotates the entire wing, not just the nacelles or prop and shaft. They are typically fully capable of VTOL operations. An advantage of tilt wing over tilt rotor is that when the rotors tilt up, the wings rotate so that they do not block the downward air.

Bien que les Américains aient commencé à mettre en service l'appareil à rotors basculants V-22, l'avion à ailes basculantes CL-899 de Canadair avait déjà offert des capacités semblables en 1965. Ces modèles révolutionnaires, qui allient la vitesse, le rayon d'action et la capacité de transport propres aux avions à voilure fixe, ont aussi la capacité de passer en mode vertical et de faire du vol stationnaire, en changeant l'orientation des rotors ou des hélices. L'avion à voilure basculante CL-89 avait un avantage marqué sur les aéronefs à rotors basculants comme le modèle V-22 du fait qu'il pouvait décoller et atterrir comme un avion ordinaire, alors que les rotors surdimensionnés d'un appareil V-22 lui permettent uniquement de décoller et d'atterrir verticalement.

A movable dam, consisting of a water curtain formed by timber leaves or wickets inclined downstream; the butt of the wicket is supported against a sill along the upstream side of the base slab and the wicket is pivoted a little below its center point to a collapsible horse held in place by a long prop.

Chanoine Wicket-dam.... The term "wicket" has been applied in the United States to a shutter revolving on an axle placed near its needle. Described in detail, a Chanoine wicket consists of three parts... : A rectangular panel of wood or iron; the horse or trestle, supporting the axle of the shutter, and the prop holding up the horse and having its foot bearing against a cast-iron shoe, called a "hurter"(in French "heurtoir") fixed to the apron. The parts of the shutter above and below the axle are called respectively the "chase" and the "breech".
