Unfeathering is accomplished by holding the feathering button in the OUT position for about 2s. This creates an artificial underspeed condition at the governor and causes high-pressure oil from the feathering pump to be directed to the rear of the propeller piston. As soon as the piston has moved outward a short distance, the blades will have sufficient angle to start rotation of the engine. When this occurs, the unfeathering switch can be released and the governor will assume control of the propeller. 2, record 1, English, - unfeathering

3, record 1, French, - d%C3%A9virage
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
4, record 1, French, - d%C3%A9virage
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 3 CONT
2, record 1, French, - d%C3%A9virage
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
5, record 1, French, - d%C3%A9virage

Similarly, the output of the pilot valve to either low or high pitch is routed through the feather valve. When the valve is positioned for feathering, the pump manifold is connected directly to the high-pitch line. This isolates the propeller lines from the rest of the control system and closes off the standby pump bypass. 2, record 2, English, - increase%2Dpitch%20line
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The NTS-feather valve responds to either an NTS signal [negative torque signal] or a feather signal by porting all fluid pumped by the hydraulic pumps to increase beta (blade angle) passages. Thus a rapid rate of blade-angle change required for feathering or NTS response can be effected. 1, record 2, English, - increase%2Dpitch%20line
