L'expédition «Autour du monde», entreprise dans le but de réunir des fonds pour la recherche d'un traitement des lésions de la moelle épinière, est revenue au Canada lorsque le quadriplégique canadien Mike Nemesvary a franchi le 49e parallèle sous la Peace Arch internationale, au sud de Vancouver. Le parrainage d'entreprises, Pfizer Canada Inc. en tête, a rendu possible l'expédition «Autour du monde». «Nous souhaitons que notre engagement à l'égard de l'incroyable périple de Mike incite d'autres entreprises et d'autres personnes au Canada à appuyer la recherche sur les lésions de la moelle épinière», déclare M. Jean-Michel Halfon, président et chef de la direction de Pfizer Canada. Parmi les autres parraineurs, mentionnons We Care Home Health Services, Minto Developments Inc. et le gouvernement du Canada.
