Analytical studies are applied to study the etiology of disease, to identify a causal relationship between exposures and health outcomes. They are typically used when insights of a particular health issue are available, commonly from previous descriptive studies. In evaluating the causality of disease associations, analytical studies address the question of "why" as opposed to the "person/place/time" of descriptive studies. 3, record 1, English, - analytical%20study

With the benefits of travelling solo, the question of security still remains an important issue. However, this too has two solutions. The first is to try and crime proof oneself and the second is to choose the destinations that are safe for travelling alone. When it comes to crime-proofing, it is advisable to learn some kind of martial arts like judo or karate. There are three main tricks of the trade — never hitchhike; do not easily trust anyone and do not indulge into drinking. If these three principles are followed then it becomes relatively safe for women to travel outdoors all alone. 1, record 2, English, - crime%20proof%20oneself

Those who employ a sacrifice relevant question generally do so on the assumption that the first relevant question in a series will produce a significant physiological response regardless of whether the examinee is truthful or deceptive to the relevant issue. For that reason, it is accepted dogma that response data to the first relevant question should be "sacrificed" because that question introduces the examinee to the issue under investigation in preparation for subsequent relevant questions... 2, record 4, English, - sacrifice%20relevant%20question

One type of symptomatic question(e. g., "DO you understand that I’m not going to ask any trick or surprise questions?") is designed to test whether the examinee trusts the examiner's word that no surprise questions will be asked. A large response is symptomatic of distrust. A second type of symptomatic question(e. g., "Is there something else you are afraid I will ask you a question about, even though I have told you I would not?") is to test whether there is some other issue the examinee is concerned about(e. g., another crime) that may be absorbing his or her arousal. 2, record 5, English, - symptomatic%20question

A common example of a "bifurcated trial" is one in which the question of liability in a personal injury case is tried separately from and prior to a trial on the amount of damages to be awarded if liability is found. The Treaty of Washington was a treaty concluded in 1871 between Britain and the United States for setting various differences between the two governments, but chiefly those with regard to the Alabama claims. In the beginning of 1871 the British government sent Sir John Rose to the United States to ascertain whether negociations looking towards the settlement of the question in dispute would be acceptable to the President. The United States government received his advances with cordiality and on the 26th of January Sir Edward Thornton, the British Minister at Washington, formally proposed the appointment of a joint high commission to meet at Washington for the purpose of devising means for setting the matters at issue. The United States readily consented to the proposal, provided the differences growing out of the Civil War should be included among the subjects to be considered. The British government promptly accepted the American proviso and the President appointed commissioners. 1, record 28, English, - Treaty%20of%20Washington

The prosecutor repeated this view when arguing before the jury at the close of the trial. He suggested they should reject the third-party defence theory out of hand(a direction which Malone also gave the jury, but which does not seem to cause you any concern) but on the issue of manslaughter and specifically the question of intention, they would have to give this some very "serious consideration". 1, record 32, English, - third%2Dparty%20defence

The question of salary and compensation is also an issue. As Dr. Grace explains in his article in this issue, his salary is set by statute to equate to that of a Federal Court judge, a very handy formula to use. It means that a disgruntled government cannot punish appointees during their terms of office by trying to bring them to heel with a salary freeze. 1, record 34, English, - disgruntled%20government

1, record 34, French, - gouvernement%20m%C3%A9content
