A process in which, after lay-up, winding, or wrapping, an entire assembly is placed in a heated autoclave, usually at 340 to 1380 kPa(50 to 200 psi). Additional pressure permits higher density and improved removal of volatiles from the resin. [Le moulage en autoclave] consiste à compacter renfort et résine sur un moule rigide par l'intermédiaire d'une membrane déformable formant avec l'outillage un sac étanche. Une pression de quelques mégapascals est appliquée sur la membrane par l'intermédiaire d'un fluide (air, azote, vapeur d'eau ou eau) qui apporte en même temps la chaleur nécessaire à la polymérisation de la résine.
