Employment Assistance Services(EAS) is an employment program of Human Resources and Social Development Canada(HRSDC) that provides funding to organizations to [help] unemployed individuals prepare for, obtain and maintain employment. [EAS] assists organizations in the provision of employment services to unemployed persons. These services may include : provision and sharing of labour market information, employment needs assessment, career planning, employment counselling, diagnostic assessment, job search skills, job finding clubs, job placement services, development of a Return to Work Action Plan, case management and follow-up of a participant in an employment program. The Working Holiday Program(Australia) is designed for Canadians between the ages of 18 and 25 with a valid passport, a return travel ticket and sufficient funds to travel in Australia on their own. It allows Canadians to spend a maximum of 12 months working, on an incidental basis, to support there stay in Australia. Work can generally be found in the service industries and in farming. Employment with one employer for more than three months is not permitted.

Work-hardening programs, which are interdisciplinary in nature, use real or simulated work activities designed to restore physical, behavioral and vocational functions. Work hardening addresses the issues of productivity, safety, physical tolerance and worker behaviors.
