ROOT KEY [6 records]

Record 1 2025-02-27

English

Subject field(s)
  • Milling and Cereal Industries
  • Plant and Crop Production
CONT

Corn gluten is widely known for its ability to inhibit root formation in germinating plants while providing nitrogen and key nutrients to the soil.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Minoterie et céréales
  • Cultures (Agriculture)
CONT

Le gluten de maïs est composé à 60 % de protéines et de 10 % d'azote (le reste est constitué de matières résiduelles). C'est d'ailleurs en raison de cette teneur en azote qu'il se vendait parfois comme fertilisant.

Record 2 2024-06-27

English

Subject field(s)
  • Sociology of Human Relations
CONT

A focus on equity and the social determinants of health is key to understanding and addressing the differential impacts of climate change. An equity lens is required across all public health functions. It guides surveillance and population health assessment efforts to identify health inequities and understand their root causes.

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Mathematics
  • Computer Programs and Programming
DEF

A graph traversal algorithm that explores nodes in the order of their distance from the roots, where distance is defined as the minimum path length from a root to the node.

OBS

It starts at the tree root(or some arbitrary node of a graph, sometimes referred to as a 'search key’), and explores all of the neighbor nodes at the present depth prior to moving on to the nodes at the next depth level.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Mathématiques informatiques
  • Programmes et programmation (Informatique)
CONT

L'algorithme de parcours en largeur permet de calculer les distances de tous les nœuds depuis un nœud source dans un graphe non pondéré (orienté ou non orienté). Il peut aussi servir à déterminer si un graphe non orienté est connexe.

Record 4 2005-09-26

English

Subject field(s)
  • Locks and Locksmithing
CONT

There is a Maximum Adjacent Cut Specification (MACS) that varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. For instance, with a Schlage brand lock the maximum useable difference between two adjacent cuts on a key is 7 depths. This means throwing out many numbers generated randomly, but they’re very easy to spot on a printed page.

OBS

Maximum adjacent cut is 5(example : 1-6 is acceptable, 1-7, 8 or 9 is not)... Cut depth is measured as root depth from back of key to bottom of cut.

A key constructed to access a particular segment; consisting of the key fields, including that of the root segment and successive segments, down to the root segment.

French

  • Programmes et programmation (Informatique)
OBS

Le chaînage associe des informations disparates aux fins d'un traitement séquentiel.

English

Subject field(s)
  • Systems Analysis (Information Processing)
  • Computer Graphics
DEF

a primary key with no one-to-one links leaving it to another primary key.

CONT

in a tree structure representation of data, the record at the top of the tree is called the root record, and its primary key is a root key. In a tree structure there is one root key. Structures more complicated than a tree structure(called plex or network structures) may have more than one root key.
