However, the fenestron rotor differs from a conventional rotor by adding several more blades.... Compared to conventional tail rotor blades, the fenestron blades are also much smaller and spin at higher speeds. Furthermore, these blades are mounted within a shroud that forms part of the vertical tail fin of the helicopter. This configuration turns the rotor into a ducted fan whose blade tips are protected from the external air.

The major components of the stairway are the carriage, stair, handrails, and shroud. The carriage consists of an actuator, side plates, shafts, gears, chains, sprockets, cams, and cam followers.... Thrust augmentation system developed by de Havilland Aircraft of Canada to increase vertical lift characteristics of proposed supersonic short takeoff and vertical landing fighter aircraft. Basically, an ejector mixes a secondary flow of air with the primary flow from a turbofan engine within an encasing shroud. This has the effect of increasing the thrust by 50 to 100 percent. Augmented primary thrust is ejected through a nozzle. When the ejector is within or part of the fuselage, it is referred to as a fuselage ejector, or fuselage ejector lift.
