If a person was ill, the society would provide a doctor and send the patient money to tide them over until they recovered. Candidates assume the role of supervisor/manager in the benefit processing unit of an organization. As supervisor/manager, the candidate is presented with operational problems including : approval of leave and sick leave, disciplinary action, complaints from employees and clients, review of basic policies and procedures, and organization of employee language training. Abilities assessed by the exercise include coordinating and evaluating the service unit, assigning work, establishing priorities, identifying and resolving operational problems, and communicating orally and in writing.
