The basic mechanism of a hovercraft is very simple : there's an engine(diesel or gasoline) that powers both a large central fan, pointing downward, and one or more other fans pointing backward. The central fan creates the lift that holds the craft above the waves; the other fans propel the craft backward, forward, or to the side. A rubber skirt(with or without fingers) traps a cushion of air under the craft. 2, record 1, English, - finger

The knee has two cartilage disks, called menisci, that are attached to the top portion of the tibia(the large lower leg bone). The lateral meniscus is located on the outer side of the knee joint, and the medial meniscus is on the inner side. These two wedge-shaped discs form a cradle for the cartilage covered condyles of the femur. The minisci absorb shock, and serve to cushion the knee. An injury to a meniscus may take the form of a small or large tear, a split in the disk, or a frayed or roughly torn area. 3, record 2, English, - lateral%20meniscus

When you have applied burlap to all the inside openings, the next operation is to place fox edging(roll edging) along the edge wire wherever weight will be placed on the edge. In an arm chair the fox edging would only be used across the front. On an end unit of a sectional sofa the edging would go across the front and around the open side. On a center unit of a sectional the edging would go all around the springs except at the back. The purpose of the edging is to protect the covering from a sharp bend over the edge wire and cushion it. 1, record 4, English, - roll%20edge

Sewing boxing... In sewing a cushion, arm cover, an inside back, or an ottoman cover, the steps are identical. The best way is to first sew the welt... to the larger piece of the fabric. Then this piece is turned over so the finished side is facing down and the back is up. Then the boxing or other part of the cover is laid on the machine, face up, with the larger piece being placed on it, face down. The pieces are sewed together. 2, record 5, English, - boxing%20machine
