Tranq dope is an ever-fluctuating blend of xylazine, a sedative, and usually an opioid, with each type of drug binding to different brain receptors. 2, record 1, English, - tranq%20dope
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Both xylazine and fentanyl are psychoactive and add to the effects that a user experiences. Fentanyl is a short-acting drug and the addition of xylazine extends the resulting feeling of euphoria to mimic the effects of heroin. However, many users are unaware that the heroin is adulterated(or "cut") with these other substances, and this can lead to unintended side effects and even overdose. For example, when xylazine is injected it can cause open wounds such as skin ulcers and abscesses to form. With long-term use, these lesions can become widespread across the arms and legs causing tissue death, hence its nickname : the zombie drug. 3, record 1, English, - tranq%20dope

1, record 1, French, - drogue%20du%20zombie

To begin felling a tree, first cut out a notch on the side of the tree facing the direction you want it to fall. Make the notch by cutting in horizontally and following with an undercut sloping up to the horizontal cut.... After the undercut is started, swing the saw around and cut a short distance into two sides of the tree. In route or drag pattern. Often today, an in route is called a drag pattern. This play requires the receiver to run a couple of steps downfield, then turn and run parallel to the line of scrimmage towards the center of the field. The drag pattern is used in the West Coast offense a lot, allowing receivers to catch the ball safely and then run after the catch. Cribbing is essential in many extrication operations. Its most common use is to stabilize objects. Wood selected for cribbing should be solid, straight and free of major flaws such as large knots or splits. Cribbing surfaces should be free of any paint or finish because this can make the wood slippery, especially when it is wet. Cribbing can be made out of pieces of timber found in the debris and cut to size.... Cribbing involves multiple pieces of wood laid on the side and crossed. It spreads the load well and has many load transfer surfaces. It also has lateral stability depending on the ratio of width to height. The height should not be more than three times the width. 1, record 11, English, - cribbing

1, record 11, French, - calage

There is a slight difference between "poaching" and "interception". The first term implies a resolve to move over to one's partner's side of the court, whether one is expecting to make contact with the ball or not. The second term implies less doubt as to whether the ball will come or not. It will come and the player will meet the ball to put it away. In general, the French term "interception" conveys both English meanings. Related terms : cross, switch, to cut to the middle, to pick off the return of service. 3, record 27, English, - poach

Strontium was discovered in 1790 and was isolated in 1808. Strontium is a soft, shiny metal. Like calcium and the other metals on the left-hand side of the periodic table, strontium is an active metal. It has a shiny, silver-gray appearance when it is first cut, but soon tarnishes with a duller, slightly yellow colour. The pure metal cannot be found in nature, but an abundant supply of compounds have been naturally formed by reactions between strontium, atmospheric gases and water. Its compounds comprise of 0. 025% of the earth's crust, putting it in the same category as carbon and sulfur. 2, record 31, English, - strontium

3, record 32, French, - positionnement%20des%20%C3%A9critures

Ham is a pig's hind leg, first cut off the carcass and then smoked, salted or dried(or a combination of these) for preservation. Gammon also comes from the hind leg but it is cured as part of a side of bacon and cut off after wards. Gammon may be smoked separately or left unsmoked but it is not matured long enough to have a strong ham flavor and does not keep for as long as ham, which is generally cured more slowly. 3, record 33, English, - gammon

For those who are unaware Gammon is from an Old Northern French word "Gambe" for hind leg of the pig or ham. However, if one wants a whole ham then a ham is ordered, if one wants part of the ham (usually boned and rolled or cut into steaks) that portion of the ham is usually called Gammon. All of our hams and gammon are cured using the over 300 year old "Wiltshire Cure" method. [Text accompanied by illustrations] 4, record 33, English, - gammon

Protective clothing worn by radiographers contains lead and often other metals(e. g., tin, tungsten, antimony, barium) to shield the wearer from radiation. These metals are homogeneously mixed with synthetic rubber or polyvinyl chloride(PVC). Between two and five thin sheets of metal-impregnated rubber/PVC are placed between sheets of nylon fabric coated with urethane on the side against the lead-impregnated rubber/vinyl. The materials are cut into a pattern and sewn together to form the protective garment. The manufacturers of these garments vary the number of sheets, the percentage of metal, the grade of rubber or PVC, and the mixture of metals to affect flexibility, durability, radiation absorption efficiency, and weight. 2, record 37, English, - protective%20apron

Protective lead aprons and thyroid shields contain lead to shield the wearer from radiation. Lead aprons and thyroid shields are placed between the person being protected and the x-ray source (for example, radiographic or fluoroscopic x-ray units, CT scanners, DEXA scanners). X rays are more likely to interact with large atoms (atoms with lots of protons and electrons) than they are with smaller atoms, and lead, tungsten, and even gold are examples of large atoms that can be used. Each time an x ray interacts, it uses some or all of its energy to knock electrons in the atoms around. When all of the energy is used up interacting with atoms, the x ray ceases to exist. 2, record 37, English, - protective%20apron

The condenser is also a Model no. 06036 shell and tube exchanger, identical to the reboiler with a few modifications : The baffles have been cut at the bottom where they meet the shell to allow condensate to flow out of the shell. The tube side has four passes for maximum heat transfer on the tube side. It is mounted nearly horizontally. The inlet end is a couple of inches higher than the outlet to allow condensate to drain out the low end. A few tubes have been removed at the top to give the vapor more room to distribute itself along the length of the shell. There is a vent on the shell side near the outlet end to allow non-condensable gases to leave. A cutter-loader based on the plough principle and designed to cut coal which is too hard for the ordinary plough. Two vertical blades, fitted one at each end of the machine, carry cutting picks which shear the coal from the face by an oscillating motion. The machine is hauled backward and forward along the face by a chain haulage mounted on the tail end of the conveyor. The conveyor and slicer are held up to the coal by pneumatic rams spaced along the goaf side of the conveyor. The sheared coal is forced from the face by the wedge shape of the machine and is loaded on to the armoured conveyor by means of specially shaped ramps. 2, record 67, French, - parementure%20%C3%A0%20m%C3%AAme

A few parts of the house deserve particular attention... around doors and windows... where the wood-frame wall meets the masonry... around doors into unheated attic... There is an easy way to tell whether or not any of the above areas need work.... make yourself a draft gauge. All you need is a metal clothes hanger, a plastic sandwich bag(or a piece of light tissue paper), a pair of scissors and two clothes pins. Cut the sandwich bag down each side and wrap one end over the cross-bar of the clothes hanger. Use the clothes pins to fasten the bag to the bar. Check for drafts, on a cold day, in all suspected areas. Hold the gauge steady by the handle of the hanger with the plastic bag close to the suspected areas. If any breeze is coming in, the movement of the plastic will show you where. 1, record 83, English, - draft%20gauge
