Thermo-osmotic energy conversion(TOEC) is an emerging process that efficiently extracts energy from low-grade heat sources. By utilizing a temperature gradient, TOEC induces a partial vapor pressure difference across a hydrophobic membrane. This pressure gradient drives the vapor from the hot feed side through the membrane's pores to the cold permeate side. The movement of water from the hot feed side to the permeate side of the membrane results in excess fluid in the cold reservoir, generating a pressurized flow that can be harnessed to drive a turbine and generate electricity. 1, record 1, English, - thermo%2Dosmotic%20energy%20conversion

1, record 10, French, - meilleure%20balle%20par%20groupe%20%C3%A0%20chaque%20coup

The key element of the MOMO experiment assembly is a Bridgman furnace for low temperatures(< 100°C). The furnace generates a temperature gradient over a cylindrical glass ampoule containing the sample. The sample material for the first two flights was a succinonitrile(SCN) based compound, which has solidifying structures similar to those of a metal alloy. The furnace is accommodated on a linear drive, which can be moved over the sample ampoule for directional solidification. An endoscope from the liquid side of the sample provides optical observation of the solid-liquid interface. Recorded images are analysed after the experiment to determine parameters of the solidifying morphological structure. 3, record 16, English, - ESA%20facility%20MOMO

With a part-time/full-time system, users expect to employ four-wheel drive on the highway. But accepted practice held that a planetary or bevel gear differential was needed to prevent generation of wind-up torques on a dry road. Designs without mechanical differentials have long been known to cause particular problems during tight turns and parallel parking, when wheels on one side of the vehicle travel a different distance than wheels on the other side. Forcing all four wheels to operate in synchronization during such maneuvers causes drive-line wind-up. 1, record 22, English, - planetary%20gear%20differential

Both the French and Spanish make much use of the anglicism «drive», albeit not in a correct fashion : In English «drive» is supposed to imply a ball hit with a lot of pace to win a point outright, regardless of the type of spin used to accomplish this task, and regardless of which side it is hit(forehand or backhand).(The terms "shot" and "stroke", being more neutral, need not imply any added spin whatsoever.) However in both French and Spanish, «drive» is also used often as a synonym for "forehand"(shot/stroke). 1, record 25, English, - flat%20forehand%20drive

The compartment cooling air fan is located on the APU left side just aft of the generator. The fan is driven by the accessory drive and draws air through a flapper valve mounted on the exterior surface of the APU enclosure left side. Cooling air supplied by the fan from the aft accessory compartment is blown into the system through a bifurcated duct attached to the aft side of the fan housing. This duct diverts a portion of air through the oil cooler and allows the remainder to be used for generator and APU compartment cooling. Air for cooling the generator flows through a crossover duct attached to the blast cap on the end of the generator. Air for cooling the compartment is allowed to escape into the area surrounding the APU by means of a slot in the lower surface of the generator crossover duct. 2, record 31, English, - blast%20cap
