DIDO Experiment Container is essentially a box with a side length of 150 mm. Design philosophy of DIDO experiment foreseen an "all inside" approach, so(at this moment) the experiment container is a mere box with no windows or openings, or relevant external features. DIDO EC is intended as a structural part for the inside experiment; only mechanical, electrical and data interfaces are required to connect DIDO EC with GLAD facility. The box is assembled as one piece but the topside is removable to have access to DIDO experiment. In this way the topside component works as a cover plate. The EC is made by(TBD) material and to meet safety requirements EC' s corners are slightly rounded, materials must not be flammable and machined with non-toxic surface treatment. Cover plate is connected with the box through screws. The bottom side, instead, compose the "first plate" of DIDO experiment, housing tanks and pumping system. Another plate placed about half height provides a "second plate" for DIDO cell and relative optics, laser unit and CCD camera.

For more than six decades the US Government has been implementing policies to stem urban blight and decay. Despite massive investments in social programs for decaying inner cities there is growing evidence of accelerating slumification and increasing social problems. Unknown to many, people in the slums and hyper-ghettos have, in their daily struggle for basis needs, developed new and innovative mechanisms for survival. These help to maintain both human dignity and a sense of community. In addition, they visibly change the community and serve as an impulse to revitalizing neighborhoods. The Community Garden Movement of New York City is a successful example of a grassroots initiative that made a visible impact on the slums by motivating the community and mobilizing endogenous potentials.

The rotor of the air-driven gyro is mounted in a sealed housing. Filtered air is brought into the gyro housing through passages in the rear pivot, the gimbal ring, and the side pivots. The air then blows against the rotor through two angled nozzles on opposite sides of the housing. The circumference of the rotor is machined with dozens of little bucket-like cutouts which allow the airflow to spin the rotor like a waterwheel(but a whole lot faster). Having done its work, the air then exits through exhaust ports on the lower part of the sealed gyro housing, whereupon it is sucked out of the instrument case by the vacuum pump.

The compartment cooling air fan is located on the APU left side just aft of the generator. The fan is driven by the accessory drive and draws air through a flapper valve mounted on the exterior surface of the APU enclosure left side. Cooling air supplied by the fan from the aft accessory compartment is blown into the system through a bifurcated duct attached to the aft side of the fan housing. This duct diverts a portion of air through the oil cooler and allows the remainder to be used for generator and APU compartment cooling. Air for cooling the generator flows through a crossover duct attached to the blast cap on the end of the generator. Air for cooling the compartment is allowed to escape into the area surrounding the APU by means of a slot in the lower surface of the generator crossover duct.

Excess grease is thrown out by the disc into an annular cavity whence it is ejected through an opening on the underside of the end cover. Radial ribs are usually provided in the housing end cover on the supply side to lead the grease directly to the bearing and prevent churning.
