Ce système fera intervenir en premier lieu les phares déjà développés comme les projecteurs orientables ou les projecteurs latéraux. Mais il faudra élaborer de nouveaux projecteurs, capables de modifier d'eux-mêmes la répartition de la lumière. Ainsi, le phare lui-même devra être capable d'être feux de route, feux de croisement, feu latéral et feu orientable, tout en augmentant ou diminuant son intensité selon les exigences requises.
