A condition brought on by irritation or swelling of the tendons found along the thumb side of the wrist. The irritation causes the compartment(lining) around the tendon to swell, changing the shape of the compartment; this makes it difficult for the tendons to move as they should. The swelling can cause pain and tenderness along the thumb side of the wrist, usually noticed when forming a fist, grasping or gripping things, or turning the wrist. 4, record 6, English, - de%20Quervain%27s%20tendonitis

blackberry thumb: Experts caution that practical experience and emerging anecdotal evidence suggest overuse of personal digital assistants (PDAs) ... can conceivably lead to injury of the tendons and accompanying tissue of the thumb. "Blackberry thumb" is the latest colloquial interpretation of a very real medical condition called de Quervain’s tendonitis, and its variant de Quervain’s tenosynovitis. The names refer to inflammation of two tendons that control the opposable digit, or their protective tissue.

2, record 6, French, - tendinite%20de%20de%20Quervain

The boxcar has a doorway on each side at the centre of the car; the doorways are approximately 1. 8 metres wide and cover the full height of the box. Before loading, the doorways are covered to the height the grain will be loaded by applying a cardboard or wooden lining(called a grain door) across the door opening and inside the permanent car door. The cardboard or wooden liners are supplied at loading stations by the railways and are applied by elevator company personnel. This procedure is known as coopering. 1, record 7, English, - coopering

3, record 8, French, - indice%20d%27isolement%20sonore
