Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Tricks, or "freestyle figures, "are the artistic side of water-skiing. Points are awarded for the degree of difficulty of the manoeuvres, and how fast they are performed. You have two 20-second passes during which to perform as many tricks as you can. There are all kinds of tricks on the official schedule. You can ski backward, spin around, step over the tow rope, hold the handle with your foot, and even use a jumping ramp for somersaults. 2, record 1, English, - trick
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Tricks: ... A trick course is approximately 175m long, and is marked at either end by 2 fixed buoys, positioned 15 meters apart. Each contestant is allowed two 20-second passes through the trick course and may perform as many tricks as he/she desires, given the time allotted. At the conclusion of both runs, the skier will record a score that is based [on] the numeric value allocated to each of the successfully performed tricks. 4, record 1, English, - trick

What sets DCD design apart from the conventional diamond interchange is that it combines left-turning traffic with through traffic. This is accomplished by directing left-turning and through vehicles to the opposite side of the road at ramp terminals. The result is that, between ramp terminals, both directions of traffic travelling over the bridge switch from the right-hand side to the left-hand side of the road. 4, record 5, English, - diverging%20diamond%20interchange

1, record 5, French, - %C3%A9changeur%20avec%20sens%20de%20circulation%20invers%C3%A9s

Johansson's ro/ro vessels differ markedly in design from the now-traditional Paralla design. Rather than use a large quarter ramp, the owner prefers twin axial ramps, each slewable, one to port and the other to starboard. Normally, the twin stern ramps are used simultaneously in the straight aft position for maximum speed of loading. However, should it not be possible to work cargo stern to, then each ramp will slew 35° off the centre line enabling the ship to still load and unload when berthed either side to a marginal quay. 1, record 7, English, - twin%20stern%20ramps

Landfill methods. There are three principal landfill methods of landfilling ... (1) Excavated cell method ... (2) Area method ... (3) Embankment method: An embankment method is used in situations where the site topography allows for the landfill to be ramped on a hill side or a steep side slope. This type of landfill has commonly been used in past years for design of landfills in ravines, coulees, or gullies with soil being obtained from the hill side or side slopes. 1, record 10, English, - embankment%20method
Record number: 10, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Two general methods of landfilling have evolved : the area method and the trench method. Some schools of thought also include a third, the slope, or ramp, method. In some operations, a slope or ramp is used in combination with the area or trench methods.... In the ramp or slope method(a variation of the area and trench landfills) the solid wastes are dumped on the side of an existing slope. After spreading the material in thin layers on the slope, the bulldozing equipment compacts it. The cover material, usually obtained just ahead of the working face, is spread on the ramp and compacted. 4, record 10, English, - embankment%20method
